“ holiday was great overall, one problem was the restaurant, there was only one toaster so you had to get your toast first as this took about 10 mins and found myself using the microwave to heat my food on most days. Also when the staff in the resaurant came out with trollies of fresh food not once in 14 days did one of them say "excuse me", they just shove the trolly in to the space and you would find youself waiting (maybe only a minute but with food on your plate a minute is a long time) then no "thank you". is it only the british with manners. been on many holidays in my life from caravans in uk to cruises around the caribean and always the staff were there to help but did not get that impression at hotel best cap salou. would no recomend this hotel to a friend but i would stay again myself as i know how thing are.
“ Top Tip: local beach good as some days you may not get to the beach until 2pm and sunbed hire was 1/2 price for half day which i have never known

This beach hotel features a total of 230 double rooms spread over 5 floors and facilities include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a lift, a currency exchange desk, a TV room and a conference room. There is a bar with a games corner as well as a cafe, a cosy souvenir shop and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area as well as highchairs for younger guests. The hotel additionally provides parking facilities and a play area for children outside of the hotel.
“ Food very repetitive and bland. Rooms clean and comfortable. Very noisy in early hours of Sat and Sun due to nearby clubs/Disco Bars.

“ It was very busy, even though we were out of season. The food was very repetitive and often cold, although there was a microwave to heat it up. The pools were dirty, but it was autumn and the leaves and twigs were falling into the pools, which were cleaned each morning, but needed more regular cleaning.

Renovated in 2004, this hotel comprises a total of 260 rooms spread over 5 floors. This total includes 12 suites. “ Hotel has recently changed its name to Villa Dorada so this caused some difficulty in finding the hotel. The rooms were average but in need of some refurbishment. Food was good if some what lacking variety.

“ WE stayed in late october so it was quite quiet but still enough going on to keep you busy. the weather was awful but the hotel was well worth the money. would go again.

The Best Sol D Or hotel is located between Salou and La Pineda, and is just 50 m from Raco Beach. It enjoys an excellent location, as it is close to many golf courses and is very close to both resorts. The hotel is ideal for relaxing holidays and offers many services such as gym, restaurant, swimming pool for adults and children, a comfortable lounge and many more. All rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The distance to the airport of Reus is 15 km and to the airport of Barcelona 100 km.
