Alboran Hotel

“ Appartments clean and tidy, nothing special but everything required. Couple of drawbacks-not able to access until 5pm, no air con (air con unit in room but when asked about cost of hire, were told they dont do it?). No maid service(stayed 1 wk), but change of towels/bedding etc left in room. Close to all entertainment. Pool area clean and sunbeds always available (12-18 sep). )

“ Top Tip: If there are 4 of you travelling book a private taxi- It works out as cheap as booking a shuttle, (without the wait)
If you arrive by taxi ask for 11 calle Berlin-the offices Aydal-this is where you pick up the keys, and where the safety deposit boxes are. The staff will direct you back to the appartments (5 min walk

“ Key collecting is from an agent 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Go left as if you have exited the hotel , at the crossroads turn right (theres a supermarket on the corner).
Cross the road and continue straight for 200-300 Meters.
Your looking for Calle Berlin the agents office is on the corner Adyal.

If you intend to spend all day in the hotel then this isnt the place for you however,
The TV in the room we stayed in had DVD player USB port and would take a PC feed.
We didnt try it but we believe the DVD will play CD's too.

If you travel by bus from/to the airport.
On arrival ask for Novelty apartments . its in the same street as the agents.

Note if you are travelling by bus : the agent opens at 8am which means your bus will get you to the airport with only 5 mins to spare to gate close for RyanAir to Birmingham on Wendesdays, im not sure about other flights but it is worth checking.

“ Top Tip: prices at the bars and restaurants are coming down as the number of people visiting are decreasing its work walking a little to compare prices of the same items.

The prices of tobacco products is way cheaper in the town compared to the airport which charges approx 25% more .

By the way the pizza's in the cafe round the corner are purchased from the supermarket and not worth the money.

“ AFTER READING PREVIOUS REVIEWS MY EXPECTATIONS WERE PRETTY LOW.SO I WAS PLEASANTLY SURPRISED WHEN WE ARRIVED AS WE WERE ON A BUDGET HOLIDAY. THE STUDIOS WERE QUITE SPACIOUS FOR TWO PEOPLE. IT WAS VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH, RESTAURANTS AND SHOPS. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING. THIS WAS A PROBLEM AS IT WAS SO HOT IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE TO SLEEP AT NIGHT! THE BAR AND RESTAURANT NEXT DOOR HAVE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF, IN PARTICULAR A GUY NAMED MIGUEL. WHEN YOU ARRIVE YOU NEED TO PICK UP YOUR KEY ABOUT SIX BLOCKS AWAY ROUGHLY 5MIN WALK(SLIGHT INCONVENIENCE) OVERALL WE HAD A PLEASANT STAY. IT IS VERY GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY PROVIDING YOU ARE NOT TOO FUSSY. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR AND MAYBE A LITTLE MORE!

“ Top Tip: VERY CLOSE TO BEACH AND YET SET BACK FROM ALL THE BUSY STREETS.
GREAT VARIETY OF RESTAURANTS AT REASONABLE PRICES!

“ The apartment was very clean and tidy but was like going back in a time warp, none of the furniture matched and i´m sure the mattresses could do with a clean as i had some bites on me that i´m sure was bedbugs. The pool area was kept very clean and tidy and the apartment was situated right in the middle of salou with great bars around and of course Portaventura 3 mins away in the car or there was a bus direct to the park every half hour opposite the apartments. Good location but outdated apartments.
