“ 1st of all I struggled to even check in, with NO reception and no 1 around for help. I was starting to panic about even having a place to stay for a week. The area is not as nice as the beach area of salou either. The actual hotel isnt bad, although I never used the pool facilities (we always went to international 1 hotel to use there's) The room was DISGUSTING!!!!!! I 'm not a overly fussy person and have stayed in basic accomodation all over the world before but this was just too much. The smell in the room s is musky and there is noo getting rid! The whole place sofa, beds, net curtains, etc smelt and this felt like its rubbing off onto you. The kitchen is falling too pieces with the kitchen side ripped and the kitchen coming out of the 1950's. We tried at all possible to be out as much as we could because even coming back for a shower was depressing and dirty. Parking outside was a nightmare and Id be driving round for an hour sometimes to wait for spaces. This hotel is NOT recommended.
“ Top Tip: If you are booking this hotel spend as much time in other hotels. We used the internacional 1. They have good pool, entertainment and bar etc.

“ i have been to salou a few times but this was my first time staying at the Almonsa and it will certainly be my last. i went with my boyfriend and we are in our late teens early twenties and we were disgusted at the way in which the hotel was maintained.

The Catalonia Gardens is a large, basic apartment complex situated in the heart of Salou. Nearby guests will find a fine sand beach ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun in addition to a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The one and two bedroom apartments are fully equipped with the latest modern facilities and amenities and are all well furnished. After an exhausting day you can have a dip in the swimming pool or wander through the landscaped gardens. These apartments are an ideal base for families and couples who want to be in the heart of Salou.
“ Booked Catalonia Gardens but had to check in Salou Suites and ended up staying there. Only there for one night as stop-over so that wasn't a problem. Apartment was very basic but comfortable and clean enough.

There is also a bar, a small supermarket, a games room and an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant (with highchairs for children and a non-smoking area) available for use. For younger visitors, there is a kids' club and a playground. An Internet terminal, laundry services, medical attention and a bicycle hire service are also on offer. The hotel additionally offers car parking and garage facilities.
“ I stayed at this hotel 13th-23rd September 2011 with my husband and our three young children (aged 23 months, 4 years, and almost 6). The hotel itself, we found, was clean and very well presented. The front lobby area was comfortable and inviting.

“ Lovely hotel near to the beach, bars and shops. All areas in the hotel were spotless and staff all very helpful and pleasant. Stayed in room144 which had a great view overlooking pool area to the front and to the beach at the side. Lots of choice in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
