This lively beach hotel was built in 1973, completely renovated in 2003 and offers 264 rooms. In addition, it offers a cosy cafe, bar and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area and high chairs for younger guests. Medical assistance is also on offer should it be necessary on payment of an additional fee and the hotel provides parking facilities and a play area for children.This attractive hotel is located in Salou's tourist centre roughly 200 m away from Capellans and just 3 km from Port Aventura Universal Park. An abundance of shops and cultural venues are located in the surroundings. Public transport departs from stops located directly in front of the hotel.All of the modern rooms are fitted with an en suite bathroom as standard and a terrace. In addition, they are tiled and come equipped with a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, air conditioning in season, central heating, a safe and a magnetic security lock. The quadruple rooms can be equipped with 2 queen-size beds (auxiliary beds are not allowed).In the outdoor complex there is a freshwater pool for adults as well as one for children and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. The hotel offers a solarium, snooker and ping pong tables. The hotel also offers a day and night entertainment programme.At dinner time, formal clothing is required (long trousers). Air conditioning will be available in the rooms from 15/06 until 15/09.

“ nice hotel .food was good.bar staff wer good..restaraunt staff good..receptionist wer arogant and rude unless u wer spanish or german..pools wer very small..night life on the dooor step..
“ Top Tip: please have plenty to drink through the day as u will need it to help u to sleep at night..very noisey from midnight through untill 6am

i stayed for one week and was glad when it was time to go home
first of all when we arrived there was only 2 beds in our room and no where for our child to sleep we had to sleep in that room for one night before they moved us.then to make matters worst our camera was taken from our room the staff at reception where so unhelpfull to us I had to go to the management and after 2 days our camera was returned to us.
food at the hotel is the only good thing and the staff in the resturant will never stay there again needs a full make over

This hotel could do with a complete refurbishment , it was very noisy at night , well should say early morning from revellers coming back from town between 0300 & 0530 , both pool areas were too small for size of hotel , the food was ok`ish it was edible but luke warm .
The good points were that the rooms were very comfortable and clean and had a maid service every day and the staff were very pleasant and helpfull .
All in all I will not go back again .
“ Top Tip: A must is to go to port Aventura especially in the eve the end of day show is superb.

The Catalonia Gardens is a large, basic apartment complex situated in the heart of Salou. Nearby guests will find a fine sand beach ideal for relaxing and soaking up the sun in addition to a selection of shops, bars and restaurants. The one and two bedroom apartments are fully equipped with the latest modern facilities and amenities and are all well furnished. After an exhausting day you can have a dip in the swimming pool or wander through the landscaped gardens. These apartments are an ideal base for families and couples who want to be in the heart of Salou.
“ Booked Catalonia Gardens but had to check in Salou Suites and ended up staying there. Only there for one night as stop-over so that wasn't a problem. Apartment was very basic but comfortable and clean enough.

The beach hotel was renovated in 2004 and comprises 267 double rooms spread over 7 floors. The facilities include a spacious lobby with a lift, a 24-hour reception, a currency exchange desk, Internet access and a TV room. There is also a coffee bar and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area and highchairs for younger guests. Outside, the hotel owns a playground with a kids' club, as well as garage (optional) facilities.
“ Have to say that I was really surprised at this hotel. Hadn't expected much as it was a 3 star. I went with my 8 year old son. We went half board for 5 nights and were pleasently surprised. Hotel is a bit dated alright but it is clean with the room cleaned each morning and towels changed either every day or 2nd day.

“ It was very busy, even though we were out of season. The food was very repetitive and often cold, although there was a microwave to heat it up. The pools were dirty, but it was autumn and the leaves and twigs were falling into the pools, which were cleaned each morning, but needed more regular cleaning.
