Built in 1973 the hotel was completely renovated in 2006. It offers a total of 262 double rooms spread over 5 floors. Guests are offered a pleasant lobby with lifts, a currency exchange desk and a 24-hour reception. It also has a games room, a TV room, a newspaper stand, a shop, a cafe and an air-conditioned restaurant with a non-smoking area and highchairs available for small children. Medical services and parking facilities are also available (additional fees apply) and younger guests may enjoy letting off steam in the play area or in the kids club.The popular hotel is in an ideal location for reaching the tourist centre of Salou. It is only 150 metres to the nearest beautiful beach and Capellans is also within easy reach. Countless shops and entertainment venues are located in the immediate vicinity.The tasteful en suite rooms are equipped with a complete bathroom, telephone, satellite TV, central heating, air conditioning in season, magnetic security lock, and an optional safe box.The hotel offers a swimming pool, a snack bar, sun loungers and shades as well as a solarium. “ Solo traveler, I had my visit here 11 Oct 2011. Weather fab, met great people, staff very friendly and helpful. A homely atmosphere. I went half board which was perfect for me, as I like to do my own thing during the day. Selection of food was great, something for every taste plenty of it and as much as you wanted. Free drinks in the morning (which sometimes was Champagne) but you paid in the evening (€1 for glass of wine!), happy hour in the bar from 9 to 10pm, buy one get one free! Really enjoyed my stay and would recommend no problem.

Top Tip:
The bus I got from the Airport in Reus was €10 50 for return and was told where to get off, and where the stop was for return and what time to be there for my return flight, took a lot off my mind to have that sorted!
If you want a day trip there is an office opposite to "Oasis" look for the "i" on the map. Found them very helpful took a bus trip to Barcelona, I did the sea and air tour, cable car and boat,€32 99. Well worth it and guide was excellent. There was other trips to pick i.e. one to see the football stadium or just to city center.
Leave at hotel entrance turn right to main shop area, if you take a left there look for a shop called "Holiday" if you have forgot anything eg clothes shoes you will get them there very cheap (will do your holiday) personally I will not be packing some things in the future will buy there and leave after me!!

Excellent value for money. Room was very clean , I got a low floor as requested and was cleaned regularly.
Really enjoyed the food and found the staff helpfull.
Thoroughly recomend this hotel.

“ the food was a bit repetitive but reasonable for what we payed .the entertainment was poor but i put that down to late in the season, it was also 50% full of Russians which was new to me, but they were fine better than some of our closer neighbors. the room was a bit cramped but i put that down to 2 double beds in it/

hotel badly needs refurbishing food start ok but when down hill fast sometimes it was cold and seem to be the same every night
noisy heard people from pub across road until 5.30am will never stay in this hotel again

“ I stayed at this hotel 13th-23rd September 2011 with my husband and our three young children (aged 23 months, 4 years, and almost 6). The hotel itself, we found, was clean and very well presented. The front lobby area was comfortable and inviting.

The Hotel Calypso, located in Salou, is just 10 minutes from the beach, 3km from the Port Aventura theme park, and 12km from the Reus Airport. There are 532 double rooms, all with full bathrooms, balconies, air conditioning and telephones. The restaurant is buffet-style and in the summer you can enjoy the open air restaurant. The Hotel Calypso has two swimming pools, hydro-massage and many other facilities and services to help you enjoy your stay. A particular highlight is the different daytime and night-time entertainment programs as well as the shows and thematic dinners.
“ I have stayed at this hotel before and loved it. The hotel staff were as friendly and helpful as ever however the food quality was very disappointing this time round. Great even entertainment.

“ It was very busy, even though we were out of season. The food was very repetitive and often cold, although there was a microwave to heat it up. The pools were dirty, but it was autumn and the leaves and twigs were falling into the pools, which were cleaned each morning, but needed more regular cleaning.
