“ A great small hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Cooling roof top pool was a treat in the high summer temperatures.

“ From arrival to departure the staff were very professional, informative and friendly.
The food was of a high standard,choices were goodinvolving a range of venue choices for eating, presentation excellent,in particular breakfasts which is a delightful way to start your day!!
The room was of a good size ,pleasant,bed linen and towels changes regular,air conditioning good but a tad noisy,the en suite bathroom could do with redecoration as paint work scuffed and sanitary ware showig signs of aging.
The location was good in that it was peaceful,clean and central enough to allow walking distance to restaurants,places of interest,but most essential need a map (that the hotel kindly provides)taxi availability from the hotel good.

“ Top Tip: Excellent was Frommer's Seville day by day (18 Smart Ways to See the City)especially the enclosed city map as it is so easy to get lost within the miriad of streets across all parts of the city.
Remember to barter for best prices for horse driven carriages as prices are variable ,but this form of travel is welcome when ones feet are feeling the pressure of city exploration.
La Giganta-good tapas but eat inside, pressure from persistant and rude people begging outside not so good.
Robles Placantines-very good eating inside and out and speciality gin (gin mare) a very good taste and preparation experience !!

“ Excellent service in a very nice, relaxing, quiet 'boutique' hotel close to the heart of Seville.
4* is a fair reflection of the hotel.

“ Top Tip: There are so many great Tapas bars near the cathedral - a 5 minute walk - and a shopping trip down Calle Sierpes is a must. Fantastic city - will go back.

“ I chose the Hospes Casas Del Rey as I was looking to stay in traditional moorish-style accomodation with an indoor courtyard. We arrived in Seville on a rainy afternoon and this may have influenced our first impression of the hotel. I had got a good rate on this hotel with travel republic and was relieved not to have paid the full rate on the hotel or other websites. The room we were allocated was dark and dreary with small windows and was immediately off-putting, along with poor tv reception. We did look for an alternative room and no other rooms were available that night, but reception promised us that we could look at other rooms the next morning. They kept this promise and the following morning we changed to a brighter room at the front of the hotel. this was much more satisfactory. Breakfast was tasty and varied, and the lounge area was cosy and delightful for chilling out and reading a book. Certainly we left with an overall better impression that we had initially, although in ways it is not the high end property that the prices indicate and that it aspires to be. Better lighting in both the bedrooms we stayed in would easily solve the problems of small windows in th premises and it is surprisiing management have not rectified this issue. There are contradictions within the property for example between the very modern looking, though small reception and the rickety and basic lift. However much of that is excusable given the character of the buidling. Overall an enjoyable stay, but with a bumpy start.
The hotel was a bit of a walk from the centre of activity and you do need strong navigational skills to find the hotel after a ramble in the city.
