The hotel building, which dates back to the 15th Century, is one of the most historic buildings in the city of Seville. It was one of the ancient convents which were founded in the south of Andalusia in order to prepare monks and nuns who were going to preach and convert those areas colonised by Christopher Columbus. The convent was converted into a fully air-conditioned hotel which opened in 2003 and now comprises a total of 35 rooms. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe, lift access, cafe and a restaurant.This historic hotel is situated right in the centre of the city, close to the main monuments, the cathedral, the Giralda and the area of Santa Cruz.All rooms come with a fully fitted en suite bathroom, TV, direct dial telephone, a safe, as well as inpidually adjustable air-conditioning and heating. Some of them have an unrivalled view of the cathedral and its Giralda Tower. The hotel also offers a suite with a balcony where guests can appreciate watching some of the brotherhood from the unique Seville Holy Week as they pass by. The suite also offers a hydro-massage bath.To reach the hotel from the airport guests should take the following streets: c/ Luis Montoto - c/ eguilas - Plaza de la Alfalfa - Cuesta del Rosario - c/ Hernando Colen - c/ Alemanes - c/ Mateos Gago - c/ Argote de Molina. If coming from the train station, Santa Justa, guests should also follow the above directions. If arriving at the hotel by car, the directions depend upon the city of origin. It is therefore suggested that guests should phone the hotel upon arrival in Seville, so that the hotel staff can directly explain the best way to reach the hotel.

What a fantastic find this hotel was, beautifully decorated and perfectly located - 2 min walk behind cathedral. Very friendly & helpful staff who told us of several excellent bars to visit for tapas. .
Breakfast couldn't be faulted, plenty of cheese, Jamon, York Ham, Salami, Scrambled Egg, Boiled Eggs, Tomatoes, fresh fruit, fresh juice, fabulous coffee machine, cereals, yogurt, rolls, bread - we stuffed ourselves silly!! Would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely pay a return visit. Can't think of any negative comments about this hotel

Top Tip:
Don't bother getting a 25 euro taxi from the airport - public transport is excellent. Turn left out of the airport departure hall and you will see the only bus stop, bus runs every 30mins into city centre, stay on bus to the last stop takes about 25 mins (2.40 euros) walk around the corner to the tram (1.20 euros) and get off at 3rd stop which is right in front of the cathedral (only 4 tram stops anyway). Convento La Gloria is 2 side streets behind cathedral - check map for Argote de Molina. Return journey to airport at 0700 was even easier as streets were empty!!
Make sure you visit La Bodega in AlfaAlfa street, the hot Solomillo Al Whisky montadito (2 euros) is to die for.

“ Excellent location right in the heart of Sevilla, two minute from the Cathedral in the Barrio Santa Cruz. Lovely old building, comfortable well furnished rooms (if a little small, and ours lacked an exterior window - but remember these were nuns' rooms once!), excellent breakfast, and restaurant and bar on site.

Tapas in the Barrio Santa Cruz - no need to worry about restaurant meals
The Murillo collection in the nearby Hospedal is unmissable

“ Hotel was very good, clean and centrally located. Staff very helpful too. Although breakfast isnt the same as at home. But we dont travel to get what we eat at home, we love trying different cusienne. We would go back and stay again and we have told friends about it. So if you are a culture vulture then this is for you. Book it :-)

“ Excellent and atmopheric due to the age and nature of the Moorish hotel and decor. Perfect location for all of Seville's main visits and close to excellent restaurants and tapas bars. Breakfast kept us going all day and no need for lunch as there was such a variety and good quality.
