located in quiet area but close to centre.
glad there were no children running around, maybe i was lucky but all guests were adult.
buffet breakfast was good, plenty of choice.
would stay again.

Beautiful reception area and staff very helpful on arrival. Good firm bed and modern, neutral décor. But… the only window from our ground floor room looked onto a corridor and, therefore, needed to be kept curtained. Felt very claustrophobic. My wife felt that, if travelling on her own, she would not have wanted to stay in the room with the window open for safety reasons.
While we knew in advance that the hotel was not in a central area, we did find ourselves doing an awful lot of walking. Limited choice of places to eat in the vicinity. We made the mistake of eating in on our first night – very expensive and of very poor quality.

Lovely hotel, just outside city centre. Pool was a blessing as temperatures were much hotter than expected for September. Also had a lovely marble courtyard that was like an oasis away from the busy city centre.
Limited menu, but breakfast had a very good variety.
Staff extremely efficient and welcoming

“ A great mix of old and new. Excellent breakfast, big room, good air-conditioning and a fantastic pool and sun lounger area. A 20 minute walk to the centre, but very easy to find your way around.
“ Top Tip: Try Osteria L'Oca Giuliva, Mateos Gago, 9, 41004 Seville. It's a fantastic Italian in the centre.

“ Hotel Gil is in the Macarena district, and gives the visitor an eye into the friendly, busy everyday life of Seville. Its a 15 min walk to the more touristic areas of Santa Cruz, but it is a pleasant meander through medieval streets to get to the highlights. Good value for money. I was a lone traveller and felt welcome. The first night I had a room on the ground floor but asked to be moved to a top floor room, which was done obligingly and efficiently. Nice touch with a pool on the roof.

“ Excellent and atmopheric due to the age and nature of the Moorish hotel and decor. Perfect location for all of Seville's main visits and close to excellent restaurants and tapas bars. Breakfast kept us going all day and no need for lunch as there was such a variety and good quality.
