San Gil Hotel

“ Hotel was of a good standard with character. Lovely airy courtyard in centre - ideal for relaxing with a cold beer. Close enough to the city centre for a pleasant walk in/back. Our room was small but very well appointed and the only slight negative was the lack of sound insulation - most noticable when the late night contingent came back in the small hours!

Overall I would thoroughly recommend it

“ Top Tip: Walk down to Alemada de Hercules for a fine selection of bars and restaurants - but don't go ANYWHERE without a map.

“ Very pretty hotel with a lovely courtyard and beautiful tiled walls and entrance. However, we asked to change room as our first room wasn't 4 star, we were moved into a better room in the recently renovated side of the hotel, which was much better, modern bathroom, double glazed windows and generally less noisy.

The breakfasts were very poor and all the food looked like it was tired and had been on display for a while! And the pastries, all out of packets - we had to eat breakfast elsewhere! V disappointing!

The staff, as per other comments on trip advisor are a bit surly - We are fluent Spanish speakers and encountered the same attitude as the non Spanish speaker - although I think this is normal for Seville - ie direct and don't always come across as v helpful but do get the job done.

The pool was v nice, and the terrace. There are two churches nearby and its lovely to hear the bells and the birds churping in the trees. whilst taking some sun.

It's a 20 minute walk into town, we preferred to eat down town so spent most of our time there. So to sum up, a nice hotel, reasonably priced but wouldn't go back.

“ Rooms were very spacious, clean and welcoming. Breakfasts were filling and tasty. Close to centre of town - easy access walking or by bus.

“ Top Tip: Airport bus terminates at same stop as the C4 bus that takes you to the hotel.

“ We found the hotel excellent. The food was very good and the staff were very friendly and also very efficient. The only drawback was the distance from the centre of Sevilla but the bus services were very good.
