“ Couldn't fault the hotel or the location. The only thing I would comment on is a lack of information about the facilities, the hotel should communicate what's on offer on arrival or by information in your room. That said everything thing else was perfect, even caviar and cava on the breakfast menu
“ Top Tip: There was a restaurant I would highly recommended by the boat harbour at puerto conlon it was on the hill coming down named Carlos, a 15min walk from the hotel - superb.

Great Hotel in one of the best locations in Tenerife, next to Del Duque beach. This was our first holiday with our little boy and we were originally going to rent a villa. We were glad we went for the hotel, we have been to the Costa Adeje area of Tenerife many times and have always enjoyed it. The Gran Tacande ticks all the boxes.
Location - 5 minutes to 2 shopping centres with grocery shopping, bars, restaurants and plenty of clothes shops in Paris shopping centre and Plaza Del Duque.
Food - We only went for bed and breakfast but the breakfast was superb with every nationality catered for.
Rooms - Big and spacious, our room (733) had direct sea views and a large balcony which we could sunbathe on or just grab a drink at night if we wanted.
Facilities - We didn't use the gym but the swimming pools are great, the kids pool is nice and warm for the little one, the top pool i used for swimming in the morning and the bottom pool is colder so you can cool off.
Staff - Noelia and Douglas were brilliant behind the bar.
Bad Points - Certain people putting towels on seats at 7am and generally being miserable, not the hotels fault though. Other than that i can't fault it at all.

Top Tip:
1. Room 733 has great views and is away from the main hotel so less noisy. There was some music from a local bar but this went by midnight.
2. If you go bed and breakfast, there is a little bar at the bottom of the hotel near the beach, they are not part of the hotel but sell burgers etc.. from €3 and ice creams as well, quite a bit cheaper than the hotel and they don't seem to mind if you eat around the pool.
3. Although there are plenty of sunbeds for everyone, if you do want a particular spot i'd get there EARLY otherwise the white socks and towels on sun lounger brigade will have "reserved it".

“ Top Tip: La Torre del mirador restaurant was lovely.. I used to live in Tenerife so have been visiting del duque for a while now and I have to go to this restaurant every time I visit!!
