Palia Don Pedro Hotel

“ Hotel was excellent, staff friendly and helpful, room spacious and clean. The restaurant was a superb buffet and good value at 9 euros including half litre of wine. I had a room near the pool and bar, and some evenings there was some small noise from the bar, but it always closed down by 11:30pm at the latest.
Other than that it was very quiet. The pool was good for swimming, but may not be ok for very young children. Sheets and towels changed frequently. I paid a deposit for the remote, and the safe key cost 15euros a week - not a problem. I was self-catering and there was a fridge, 2 hobs, microwave, and sink; just about enough. I will definitely stay there again and recommend it.

“ Top Tip: Good supermaket and bus turn-around point within 5 mins. Places near supermaket sell Bono Bus cards. Restaurants here as well. It's a 10 min walk to Las Galletas - a small Spanish town with shops, restaurants. bars. and a Health Centre, P.O. etc. Between the hotel and Las Galletas (at Ten-Bell) there is a very large Lido - cost 5euros a day. Bus no. 467 runs about every 15mins to Los Cristianos/P. Americas; takes 15mins and cost about 1euro. Last bus back from L. Cristianos is about midnight; after that it's a taxi for about 20euros. I like to go to El Medano (bus 470 every hour), a small Spanish town with good bars beaches - particularly Playa de la Tejita (google or goggle that).

“ Top Tip: Take the bus to Las Americas or Cristianos - really cheap to get there with the public bus. Our family of five was 8.50 Euros one way to Las Americas - bargain. Its a totally different world there compared to the Palia Don Pedro surroundings ! Well worth a visit.

“ Excellent welcoming staff. Animation team were exceptionally good providing activities suitable for all ages throughout the day and evening. Nice touch - although we had to check out at 12.00 mid day on our final day we were given tickets so that we could have lunch before we left. Room spacious with fridge, electric rings etc. Although we were all inclusive this was useful for cold drinks if needed during the night or coffee in the room. Food usual buffet style fare but carafe of quite acceptable wine served with lunch and dinner. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel

“ Top Tip: Probably a good idea to buy tickets for Siam Park from Travel Republic before going as this constitutes quite a saving. However, need to order well in advance as tickets come through post not e.mail and take time.

“ French Hotel.French entertainment.French resort. 90% french (OAP) occupancy so be warned...Good stuff first..... The staff are very good,no excellent. Yes its dated but it was cleaned top to bottom every day.The entertainment team were good with the few kids that were there..... Now the not so good.... Food is to be expected (basic) Entertainment was by the in house french team..It was that bad it was bareable...No inflatables of any kind were allowed in the pool. Getting a drink from the bar later on in the evening was hard work as there was only one barman, and with the older end drinking coffee (which came from the same bar) this took time especially when queing is not in the french language....The bar/entertainment area was quite small and from 8.30-9.30 it was like a scene from allo allo(show time was at 9.30). The resort is very very quiet with little out of the front door. This was eerie at times......Not for us 2 adults and 2 kids.
