“ We were disappointed to find on arriving at Sunset Veiw at 23.50 we had been moved to Santa Barbara golf and ocean club. This accommodation was fine but we really wished to stay at Sunset View as this is a small complex and suits us better

“ Good welcome from reception and nice, clean, spacious apartment with a balcony and view of the sea.
“ Top Tip: We used this as a one-night stopover between the ferry from El Hierro and a flight from the airport the next day. This is one of the few apartments that allows one night bookings.

We arrived early and greeted at reception by two of the most polite guys ever,and as our room was not ready,we were given free sangria and sat beside the pool for a short while but well worth the wait as the room was lovely and large with everything we needed for our stay and even got a call from reception to check that everything was ok,
With very pleasant surroundings we would have no hesitation in recomrnending this hotel.
Plenty of restaurants and bars.however,one problem is that there is nothing at all to do during the day,so a car is essential.
Take a drive into the mountains to see some beautiful scenery.
If you want a quet holiday then San Blas is fine.If you want a bit more action and noise then go to Cristianos or Americas

Some of the rooms are a little tired, which is the only reason that I have not marked it higher, but do not let this put you off. The apartments are large with a seperate bedroom and bathroom and have a kitchenette that you can cook a decent meal in ,if you are so minded. The flat screen tv has all the main UK channels except BBC news 24 which would be useful. There is the french equivalent in english if you need your news fix.
The staff are very helpful and the apartment was cleaned most days of the week.
The pool is clean and there is a resident life guard.The water temprature is variable between cold and quite warm, there did not seem to be much logic to the temprature control. There are always spare sunbeds around the pool which is a real luxury.
The restaurant is now open again and is doing Italian food and pasta, we ate in there once and had a good meal.
All in all an excellent holiday in a well run and comfortable property.
Finally the property is about 1000 yards from the flight path into Tenerife airport but usually aircraft approach from this side and take off over El Medano so they have their engines on minimum thrust and after a few hours you do not even notice them. If they take off over the apartments then the wind has swung around 180 degrees and expect rain from the Atlantic, and as it does not rain a lot this is not usually a problem!
“ Top Tip: A number of good restaurants in Los Abrigos. Try La Scappata, an italian restaurant with an extrovert owner! Food is excellent
