The hotel was adequate, and for the money we paid frankly I was not expecting a lot more. We stayed B+B which was buffet style and the food was fair if a bit monotonous. You could pay 8.00 euro for a evening meal if you don't fancy going off site (but do check to see what it looks like before you pay). I would not advise paying for half board rates at this hotel as some nights the food was not very appetising. The rooms are a good size, the décor a little dated (70/80s style), and the exterior of the units which are all chalet style but are not self catering units could do with some TLC. But we could lie in our room and listen to the sea breaking on the rocks and shore nearby and had a wonderful sea view from our bedroom.
If you like a quiet holiday this is ideal, no brash clubs or base nearby, but for that reason not sure to recommend for young people

Having said that the hotel and its grounds were very peaceful, and we enjoyed our stay very much. If you are looking for a quiet break this is one of two hotels in this area and the Tenerife Tour definitely has the best location with the pool area right on the beach. The only drawback is that this hotel is built onto/into a rather steep hill and although there is a gated entrance near the pool area this was locked while we were there and we were not given a key. Which meant that to go anywhere we had to drag up the hill, pass through the reception and down the hill again outside the hotel. This was not such a great problem for me, but my elderly mother found it hard going, thankfully she had remembered her walking stick. The Pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds but on closer inspection could also do with some slight maintenance besides needing a good sweep up, some mosaic tiles in the bottom of the pool were coming off, and some of the cement work around the area could do with re-pointing. There are poolside showers, changing rooms and toilets and although not open for our stay a poolside bar/café.

Top Tip:
There is not much tourism here, so not much English spoken either outside of the hotel so wherever you go you will need to be armed with a phrase book in order to make yourself understood. That said, the locals are extremely friendly and welcoming and try their best to help you.

The local blue flag beach is of black Sand set behind is a very attractive promenade, it seems that the local authority has spent a lot of money on this area as the beach has large decked areas for sunbathing and palm trees to provide some shade there are also showers at the top of the beach.

The promenade which is well lit of an evening, stretches from Las Caletillas to Candelaria and makes a very pleasant walk pre and post dinner. Behind the promenade there are various Bars, Restaurants and Ice cream parlours but these are nearer to Candelaria not immediately adjacent to the Tenerife Tour. Also along this stretch but one block further back from the sea from you will find the Centro Commerial (shopping centre) this is a large putty coloured building where you will find a large supermarket, placed outside the shopping centre are some reasonable Café Bars.

The Tenerife Tour is ideally placed for transport links there is a bus stop right outside for buses to Santa Cruz and thus Peurto de la Cruz and other parts of the Island. To travel to the south you should cross the road, turn left past the terrace Bar and 20 Metres up the hill you will find the bus-stop for Candelaria and beyond.
My top tip re: buses (for the whole island the company name is 'Titisa') buy yourself a 'Bono bus' ticket which are available to purchase from local kiosks. This is a pre-pay ticket, valid for 1 year, costs 12Euro, can be used by more than one person (eg passed among a group travelling together), replaces the need to handle cash when getting on the bus and gives a discount of 40% on the standard fares on the bus.

There is a great Chinese Restaurant called "Resturante Chino Asia" on Avendia de la Constitution near the harbour front in Candelaria (next to "Handelburguer")- the best Chinese meal I have had in years.

Visit the pyramides de Guimar (circa 500 BC) by bus (1.00 Euro each way to Guimar, taxi to Pyramides about 3.00 Euro).

If arriving at the airport before nightfall save yourself a lot of money by using the buses instead of a Transfer or taxi (turn left as you come out of the terminal building). Get the 111 to Santa Cruz bus terminal then 122, 123, 124 or 131 for Candelaria. with the 'Bono bus' card this will cost you 2.90 Euro and 1.40 Euro respectively. 'Bono bus' cards can be purchased in the terminal.

Well, when we first saw the hotel pictures and location we liked it a lot. We booked it for three nights initially because some of the outdated reviews on this site. When we finally got there we were impressed by the work of artist who planned and built this complex. This was a 3 star hotel that exceeded our expectation. The rooms had the ocean view without nothing in between. Thanks God, it was nothing like urban or office style or modernistic dentistry hotel. This was a real retreat from London rush with all the local beauty preserved by a master. The guests were different kind too: calm and relaxed (not hormon thinking like las Americas). This was a very romantic place. Because it wasn't a large train station (Waterloo) type hotel the staff was really nice and could dedicate as much time as required to serve all your needs. They were all grown ups speaking good English and very pleasing. Louise - a receptionist was on top of the things when we asked for help, what we call very resourceful. When hotel staff is caring like that you can relax and feel your holiday. Food was tasty and home like, not a choice of a five star hotel but still very difficult to stop overeating. Santa Cruz is 15 min drive. Free wi fi, pools, bar, parking etc etc. Well we've booked the rest of the week in this hotel and would go again.

Very pleasant stay, friendly staff, cleaning and new towels everyday, extra pillows on request, food was tasty and reasonable choice, loads of salad. Bungalow rooms spacious, quiet hotel and resort, though some entertainment offerred. Hotel on hill so maybe difficult for buggies and people with walking difficulties. Pool not heated and quite windy in February.

Top Tip: Hotel beach (black sand and stones) ideal for young children to dig and paddle. Some play grounds nearby and indoor playground in MacDonalds on top of resort near "motorway", bus stop right outside hotel.
