The hotel is situated in Playa de las Americas and is surrounded by a large sub tropical garden. Facilities at the hotel include two outdoor swimming pools with a water chute. Guest rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, television, direct dial telephone and minibar. The hotel offers guests the perfect atmosphere to relax in. Ideal for families.

Very good food & service & clean & tidy But we were not informed of the construction work going on in hotel even thou the hotel told agents!!
We were not told! very noisy by the pool & were offered another room which was less noisy.
This meant we spent most days around the pool at sister hotel Volcano, which was not why we choose to go to Bitacora!
would rate it above 8 wilthout the noise!

“ The refurbishment that is going on at present in the hotel meant we unable to get a room on the side that we requested at the time of booking.( we were not advised of the refurbishment at the time of booking). The service in the Bar Hall which is where the main entertainment is in the evening, was absolutely dreadful. I complained more than once but there was no improvement , and a lot of people were complaining. We have been to the hotel a few times and we thought during our last visit in September,2012 that the service wasn't as good as previous visits, but this time it was a lot worse. The standard of cabaret shows has also deteriorated and not nearly as good as before.

“ Could not fault the hotel itself nor the food nor the staff.... BUT...... It was like going on holiday to a building site. The hotel is being refurbished just now and all you hear from 7.30am til 5.30pm is constant noise from drilling, hammering! There is no peace at all because if you want to lie at the poolside and just chill it is impossible. Really spoiled things for us and they received a lot of complaints from guests. People even asking for ear plugs! Be warned!!!

“ I have stayed here many times and it never dissapoints. The food is too good..my daughter jogged every day and still put on 5llbs.
“ Top Tip: The beach club on the front excellent for shellfish at lunchtime.
