Excellent value for money apartments set in pretty well kept grounds. The Hacienda del Sol Apartments are situated in the heart of Playa de Las Americas, near to the entertainment area and 650 metres from the Troya beach on the south west coast of Tenerife, 18 kilometres from the Reina Sofia Airport. Each of the apartments are cleaned regularly and feature private bathroom/shower and a balcony. The apartments are also equipped with satellite television, a telephone, piped music and a safety deposit box.
The facilities at the apartments include a restaurant, a pool bar, a heated swimming pool, a children's pool and internet access. Guests can play table tennis and pool and some entertainment is provided. A selection of shops, bars and restaurants can be found about 150 metres away.

Do NOT book this hotel if you want any sleep. You will NOT have a restful holiday as the music, screaming & banging doors don't stop before 4am! And you can't even catch up on sleep by the pool during the day as the music continues (from many different ghetto blasters). Unfortunately the security/reception staff do not have this under control even though police had to intervene on some occasions.
Please do not take children to this hotel, it is not for families.
The apartments haven't been updated since the 60s.

“ Top Tip: The Siam water park is fantastic. There's a free bus from the town to the park & you can buy the ticket at the shop near the bus-stop so that you wont need to queue when you get there. You can buy a second entry ticket for half price when you are leaving the park.

“ The hotel grounds, including swimming pool area, are nice and well kept. The barstaff, reception and cleaning staff could not be faulted. However, the rooms are well over due for refurbishment, the beds are uncomfortable, many lights do not work, bathrooms very basic and old fashioned. The hotel is used for stag weekends and the like and is situated in an area with a high density of bars, and the street is where prostitutes tout for business, often very aggresively. We would definitely not stay here again.
