The Mare Nostrum Hotel is located on the sea front at Playa de las Americas, 100 m from the main shopping centre. It is formed of three luxury hotels and offers great accommodation and good value. The main entrance hall with its ornate balconies and huge chandeliers provides an impressive welcome. Our bookings cover the Marco Antonio, Julio Cesar and Cleopatra Palace buildings. Sea view rooms are always in the Cleopatra Palace. Please note that allocation will be arranged upon the arrival of guests.
Accommodation
All hotel rooms in the resort are air conditioned and have a safety deposit box, satellite television, direct telephone with answering service, mini-bar, complete bathroom and spacious terrace. There is a private swimming pool and a solarium in 102 of them. Cots are available on request free of charge, however please take note, a cot counts towards room occupancy and is not in addition to it.
Food & Beverage
There are 10 restaurants where guests may sample different national and international specialities. Furthermore, there are 7 bars, 3 piano bars. There is a carefully prepared and ample selection of menus adaptable to any of your requirements.
Sports & Leisure
The Mare Nostrum has four swimming pools, one of which is for children, jacuzzi, two tennis courts, one multiuse, mini-golf, gymnasium, aerobic and fitness room, saunas, table tennis, billiards, children?s playground, hairdresser, boutiques and a health and beauty centre which offers a choice of spa and beauty packages. For a change of scenery it is possible to take a boat trip on the Lady Shelley, and in the evening quests may relax in one of the three piano bars or enjoy a magnificent show in the auditorium as part of the Mare Nostrums extensive leisure programme.
Golf
The resort is perfectly sited for golfers. Guests can take advantage of the four golf courts, with the closest being just ten minutes away. Another attraction is the special golf package which the Mare Nostrum offers at Golf Las Americas, Amarilla Golf and Golf del Sur.
Meeting Facilities
There are 27 convention rooms with audio visual material, an auditorium with seating capacity of 1800. Hostess and secretary service available on request.
Useful Information
The hotel is located approximately 17 km from Tenerife South airport and 88 km from Tenerife North airport. From February 3rd 2009 all guests at the Mare Nostrum Hotel (Cleopatra Palace, Julio Cesar Palace, Marco Antonio Palace) should check in at the main reception in Cleopatra Palace.
Please note: for those who book Full Board, lunch is served in the Mediterranean Palace Restaurant. All guests at the Mare Nostrum Hotel (Cleopatra Palace, Julio Cesar Palace, Marco Antonio Palace) should check in at the main reception in Cleopatra Palace. Please note that clients on Half Board basis will receive a compensation voucher on arrival that will allow them to enjoy one restaurant service during their stay. When clients on Full Board Basis (only possible at Mediterranean Palace Hotel), arrive after dinner hour, they will receive a compensation voucher only if they are leaving the Hotel after lunch time.

“ The only thing that spoilt the holiday were the beds, which were extremely hard. we woke feeling battered and bruised, however after mentioning this to the relations officer this was sorted out. I only wished I had done it after the first night as after 3 nights of it we were too tired to do anything or go anywhere in the day. other than that we have no complaints.
“ Top Tip: Our reataurant find was almost directly opposite the hotel at Bianco s absolutely superb. Also one called the chill out just by the tunnel as you walk onto los cristianos

“ Cleopatra Hotel overpriced. Genearl appearance and internal decoration nice. However, room was large but decoration and furniture was very 'tired'. Room was more akin to a 3 star at best.
“ Top Tip: Generally well positioned.

This comfortable luxury 17-storey hotel comprises a total of 298 rooms. It has a spacious lobby with a bar with a sitting area, a piano bar, reception area and 5 lifts. Also, there is a hairdressing and beauty salon, a boutique, TV room and lounge. Culinary options include the air-conditioned buffet restaurant and an e la carte restaurant. Further facilities include Internet access, as well as room service and laundry services, all for additional fees. This hotel is dedicated to organizing congresses, conventions and banquets. It has lounges with capacity for up to 900 people.
“ Due to the hotel being built into the side of a hill it can be confusing that reception is on floor 16 and the bedrooms are lower. This makes it necessary to use the lift and at peak times it can take a while. However this hotel gives good value for money, it is in a good position for the town and it's amenties and the buffet food is well cooked and plentiful.

This hotel comprises a total of 229 lodgings spread over 5 floors including 15 suites. Amongst the hotel's facilities count a foyer with 24-hour reception, 3 lifts and a newspaper stand. “ As we visited in January the hotel was virtually made up of older people who preferred to get away from the British weather. The hotel was also 90% German/Dutch. The hotel rooms are good and very quiet. Food is very varied and there is always something different to choose from. Staff were very helpful.

Located on the beach between Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas. All guest rooms are ensuite, luxuriously equipped to a high standard and decorated in a typical Mediterranean style. Guests can enjoy an extensive range of shared facilities including an international buffet restaurant, 4 swimming pools, a sauna, a spa, tennis courts, nightly show, gym and complimentary kids club. Around the pool is a large terrace with seating and waiter service as well as a sweeping marble staircase. Guests can relax here and have breakfast or afternoon tea.
“ great position, downside with this hotel are rooms need refurb. At breakfast it would be better if cups and saucers were on the table. That seems a petty thing reading that but you make one trip for the cups and saucers then the teapot then you food you need at least three trips before you have got everthing on the table!
