Mediterranean Palace Hotel

“ Good points:
1. Friendly staff;
2. Good buffet breakfast - especially the fruit.

Bad points:
1. very noisy at night - from outside music and inside music;
2. non-heated swimming pool meant that we were not able to use it;
3. water leaking over the top of the bath during shower meant a very wet floor;
4. bath drain not very good - the plumber (good man) thought it was due to guests washing off the sand from the beach. He tried his best.

“ Top Tip: great restaurant - el barill - a short walk away. excellent grilled fish, canerian goat.

“ Enjoyed our stay,staff were very good,helpfull and cheerfull.Breakfast was without doubt excellent with choices galore,something for all tastes.Everywhere was always clean,but in saying that the rooms could have been better,although I dont think the cleaners were given enough time on each room.Our opinion is that the hotel could certainly do with a serious upgrade as all the other hotels in the area that we looked at were better and more modern.The location of the hotel could not be better,pool area superb and towels easily got and changed at any time.We will stay here again( but only if it improves)
A 5 star hotel ? I dont think so perhaps a good 3 star would be more accurate,although we did see signs of refeurbishment.A special thanks to tyhe reception staff and all the waiters in the breakfast room.

“ Top Tip: Resaurants in the area were many,some good some very good,just across the road from the hotel.Our strongest reccomendation would be The "El Greco" Greek Taverna food was superb and the service 1st class and so friendly,even giving us a lesson in spanish grammar which we much apreciated and had a laugh over it.
You must try "El Greco" at least once.( Also the bets cup of coffee in Tenerife)

“ great position, downside with this hotel are rooms need refurb. At breakfast it would be better if cups and saucers were on the table. That seems a petty thing reading that but you make one trip for the cups and saucers then the teapot then you food you need at least three trips before you have got everthing on the table!

“ 5 day break, room very clean maids in every day, breakfast fine not as good as the cleopatra next door which I stayed in Feb 2011. Staff great close to great restaurants and of course the beach. harrys Bar across the road lovely pub overall great hotel would come back again.
