“ First impressions, fantastic value for money, and it just got better. Clean, spacious, good amenities very close to shops,bars,restaurants and the Lago Martinez for a spot of sunbathing and swimming. Very helpful, friendly staff. I would highly recommend these apartments and would definately return.

“ Top Tip: Just do a bit of walking, which doesn't have to be very far and you find delightful hints of the ancient architecture of spain and it's many squares with cafes overlooking central park areas.

“ Very clean and ample for my needs. Nearness of restaurants, beach and shops made everything very easy.Quiet location normally but massive road works near the hotel meant some noise. Nice balcony which sometimes got some welcome sun as north part of the island quite cloudy. Very welcome heated pool which was very clean.

“ Top Tip: Black sandy beach at the far end of the Lido in case you do not find it. Restaurant in the cliffs and the beachside one very nice food.

“ The staff were excellent. This hotel has been cosmetically painted but a close look leaves a lot to be desired. One small camping kettle, 1 small frying pan and 2 saucepans. Plenty of plates etc but cutlery was lacking. I borrowed a toaster and electric kettle from friends. Not what I would class self-catering. The balcony was barely hip height, if you tripped on the floor window/glass door runner it would have been easy to have fallen over the balcony apart from the terrace floor leaning. There were two feet mark on the balcony rail and it was loose at one end as if someone had possibly jumped off. This apartment block was incredibly noisy and I found it impossible to sleep in the first two weeks. My 3rd floor apt was over the garage approach so 1 hydrolic access door and a roller door, both of which were noisy. If I stayed again it would be on the top floor as the noise from clients above the apt was horrendous. The walls and floors allow all sounds to be heard, including toilet activity, and the shower was so small that when you bend over to pick up bottles of shampoo and shower gel etc off the floor of the shower(there was no shelf to put anything on) your buttocks catch the shower control and turn it off. Hot water seemed to be available for only 10 mins at a time. I tried different times of the day and always ended up rinsing soap and hair conditioner off in cold water. The shower tray was very slippy, made worse with the use of soap and shampoo, dangerous because the folding door opened inwards so if you should fall over the door would have to be taken off to help you. I could write many facts about this establishment but it is a 1 key and that is what you get. Small but clean pool and well decorated. 2 Sun terraces on the the 4th floor of the connecting Astoria block are accessible with a variety of worn but usable gym equipment.

“ Top Tip: Nearby the best place to go is the New Robin Hood pub at the Belair apts at the top of the avenida. Great food and the best fish and chips anywhere including a choice of 'mushy' peas or garden. Fresh made chips not frozen and the batter is fabulous, a huge portion so be hungry! David and Jimmy run a popular, very friendly pub, although the service can sometimes be a bit slow, its all freshly cooked food and well worth the wait. Very popular for Sunday roast lunches so best to pre-book. The restaurant at the Bambi itself is great for variety and quality and efficient, friendly service well worth a visit. Try the local rabbit in canarian sauce with the local potatoes - superb! great salads and steaks! The salads are a huge portion and the does ask if you wish to share one portion. Bar Oregon just past the harbour for the best prawns in garlic and a lovely entrecote and mixed salad.Typical Canarian and very polite and friendly. 100% recommendation for these three restaurant/bars.

“ The apartment was value for money BUT it was painted in dark blue which made everything very dark and the small balcony looked very closely onto the kitchen of the next building.
