Bonanza Palace Hotel

“ Arrived too late for dinner on first night but were provided with picnic bag which was good. Cleaner starts before 8 so no lie in and you need to put the sign on the door. Good sized rooms. We were booked in the Bonanza Palace but were put in the Canarife next door and it took 3 goes before we found a reception desk prepared to book us in! (There isn't a Reception in Bonanza Palace) Could eat in any of the 3 hotels in the group. Bar staff seemed to avoid serving as long as possible. Although the hotels weren't full there was a shortage of sunbeds. Always plenty to eat at mealtimes and the afternoon snacks (tucked away in a corner of Bonanza Palace) though breakfast was repetative. Walk into town pleasant but steep on the way back. Car is a must to see the island properly.

“ The Bonanza Palace Hotel in next door to the Canarife Palace Hotel and across the road the InterPalace Hotel all part of the same chain, we booked the Bonanza but were given a room in the Canarife. General impression of the Bonanza and the Canarife is good quality and condition public areas and our bedroom was a good size with ensuite and balcony overlooking one of the two adjoining swimming pools.
The grounds are shared between these two hotels and are terraced and have two good sized swimming pools, as well as a paddling pool, served by a bar, and there is a kids climbing frame area and kids club, a pool table, table tennis table and a fenced area for football, basketball etc.
There are a number of bars and dining areas in the two hotels, we did the inclusive and would recommend this as this covers drinks and food (try the al a carte - highly recommended). We also tried the spa / heath club on the first floor of the Bonanza again a very enjoyable experience.
Staff are generally very polite and helpful.

“ Top Tip: Beaches on this side of the island are black, but this side of the island is more attractive and less spoilt than the south side which has a more industrial appearance.
