The hotel was founded in the year 1959 by the Talg family, and today the third generation of this family manage the hotel with care and dedication. It's distinction has been recognized with National and International diplomas and most importantly by the loyalty of it's clients. The gastronomy is an important feature of the hotel and can be enjoyed in the elegant Tinguaro Restaurant, with it's ample, sunny terrace.The hotel has 76 double rooms and 7 junior suites and is surrounded by more than 4000m2 of subtropical gardens where species from all over the world can be found. On a weekly basis, and at the request of the clients, a guided visit is made to the gardens.The hotel also offers 24hr reception service, money exchange, two lifts, bar, shop, games room, TV room, hairdressers and internet access (additional charge).

“ Little gem - charming family run hotel - retro - how hotels were in 60/70's - the guests are special - service exceptional- lots of small touches to make this hotel unique - a retreat - felt instantly relaxed - botanical gardens beautiful (more palm trees than rooms!) - lovely views over Puerto De La Cruz and Mount Teide. Food excellent - enjoyed dining on the garden terrace. Drinks and beverages in hotel good value. Enjoyed playing in the garden - boules, chess - multi gym - tennis - table tennis and lovely outdoor swimming pool. Good area for local walking. Can't wait to return.
“ Top Tip: Abaco Mansion - old Canarian house and bar serving cocktails whilst we enjoyed Spanish ballet show - a short taxi ride away

“ Fantastic family-run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Ideal centre for walkers like ourselves (if you have transport).
“ Top Tip: Buy any supermarket stuff in Puerto de la Cruz when you have transport as it's a long haul up some 242 steps otherwise. If you don't have transport then do half board rather than B&B as there are not many places to eat without descending those steps.

Tigaiga is a great hotel! We felt looked after from the moment we arrived - being greated at reception by name and offered a drink. Room was quite large, clean and very comfortable with balcony with good views and could just see the sea as well as Mount Teide on a clearer day.
Breakfasts were great, lots of choice! Nice pool and beautiful gardens. Probably a hotel for couples or older ish generation as quite quiet... but we enjoyed this peace.
About 10-15 mins walk down into town, out of the hotel and down lots of steps. Easy to walk down but we got taxis back for around 3.50 euros.

Exellent Hotel; German built,owned and run. Food was fantastic; gardens were fabulous; service was brilliant and staff so very pleasant and helful.
Mainly geared for Germans but very good for British/anyone as all the staff and owners speak Spanish, German and English. The 3 owners who run the hotel (the grand-children of the builder) are marvellous and their attention to detail leaves one astounded. Everywhere is so clean and tidy all of the time! Not really suitable for young children/families unless they go out all of the daytime; no suitable evening entertainment nearby either; you need to go into town for that.
In-house evening entertainment is of local type (Canarian/Spanish) and good but would not be everyones 'cup of tea'.
For middle aged/older couples (We are 65 and 64) Excellent and really good value for money.
“ Top Tip: English church opposite hotel grounds if you need it. Lots of British/English people live in Tenerife.

The hotel consists of 12 floors with a total 236 non-smoking rooms. Amongst the hotel's modern facilities count a foyer with 24-hour reception, 3 lifts, a bar-cafe and public Internet access. There are also 5 conference rooms.
“ Enjoyed our stay once again ( as usual ).......although......the restaurant staff didn't seem to be quite as efficient as in our previous visits. Didn't spoil our holiday in the slightest though!!!!!

Opened in 2002, this air-conditioned beach hotel offers a total of 190 rooms spread over 4 floors. The building has been carefully designed, where each small detail has been taken into account and only the finest materials of the highest quality have been selected. On arrival, guests will be struck by the magnificent Canary Island mahogany dome, with a 24-hour reception area illuminated by large windows. The hotel also features a currency exchange desk, 4 lifts, one of which is a panoramic lift offering a stunning view of the swimming pools and the garden area, various shops, a hairdresser, a bar, 1 restaurant with breakfast and evening buffets along with a show cuisine in the evenings and public Internet access (for a fee).
