“ Big apartments with great balconies/views in nice area (more los gigantes than santiago really these) - quieter than americas and so on but plenty of facilities. No major problems with apartments but could do with a bit more tlc e.g. fresher towels for some, bathroom updating (bit of mould on bath grout), more bedding. No wifi or english tv channels worth having - shame as tv itself was decent. Lucky if got iron or hairdryer. Lack of mirrors. Only one picture in our room, which kept falling down. New Years eve someone started sawing and drilling in the above apartment at 7.30am!!! aaarrrh - but only once. Nice little italian below the apartment (10 euros 3 courses recommended option) and people nice enough. Fiddly lock on front door don't know why no-one fixed yet. Pool too cold to swim in, but around pool could get good sun. Just enough hot water for two v. quick showers at once in room. OK for price but feel could do much better if sorted a few niggles. A decent base if set expectations not too high.

“ Top Tip: The public lidos are worth visiting, as beach is small and balconies don't get sun all day (best noon onwards). Tennis is well provided for and nice marina for boat hire or excursions in los gigantes. Good selection of restaurants in town, difficult to find a great one or anyhting out of the ordinary. Some are overpriced and going into puerto santiago offers more choice and value than los gigantes alone. Some meals can be very reasonable once you find out the best places. Too many of the restaurants seem to serve huge menus and be a throwback to 1987. Hiring a car meant we could visit Mt Teide, better supermarkets and so on. Roads are narrow and mountain ones challenging, but we managed fine after first night. Driving is easier in the daytime as sat nav by tom tom despite being up to date missed some new road alterations which at night mwas more confusing. This resort is best for those looking for a relaxing time without too much nightlife or revelry. Suits families, couples and the older, but these apartments are at the top of a hill so may not suit the very old. There is some very nice scenery around teide and stunning views out towards La Gomera as well as clubs in the southern resorts and shopping in the capital so Tenerife has a lot to offer, though some may find it a bit tacky I suspect.

“ This is an apartment building, not a hotel and should not be marketed as such. Reception only opens a few hours a day and they do not have hotel services.

We rented it as an apartment and were very happy with it. it was cleaned very regularly, towels were changed three times a week, beds once a week. Very good views and a restaurant next door. Small beach 10 minutes walk at the harbour with shops, bars and restaurants there, more beaches 10 min drive or 40 min walk. We walk a lot and there were lots of walks within an hours drive or available via very good public transport. If you arrive late( after 4) they leave the keys in a little box between the steps and the restaurant near the telephone box, have a little torch to find it and open it. in our appartment quality of cutlery could be improved.

“ Top Tip: Restaurant next door, great dolphin and whale trips with Flipper Uno, great fun, excellent service on board and far better then any others there.
