This small, modern country hotel comprises a total of 43 rooms spread over 2 floors. Facilities on offer include a reception desk (close at night), a reading room with a fireplace and a restaurant. Additionally, laundry services are offered as well as a car park and a garage.This attractive country hotel is located in the south of Tenerife right by a cliff (at an altitude of 1,000 m) close to Caeadas del Teide national park. Links to the public transport system can be reached within a few steps from the hotel (300 m). Escalonas, with its wide range of shopping facilities as well as numerous restaurants, diverse bars, cafes and lively entertainment opportunities, is located close to the hotel. The inviting beach with its enchanting, turquoise blue sea is around 20 km from the hotel and may be easily reached by car or with local public transport, which is reasonably priced. The airport is around 35 km away.The comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV (music channel), a minibar/fridge, air conditioning (centrally regulated), a hire safe and central heating. Each of these tastefully furnished rooms also comes with a balcony or a terrace.Guests are offered a swimming pool and a sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The health spa includes 2 saunas, a Turkish bath, cold water basins, hydromassage, pediluvium as well as massage and body treatments. In addition customers have spa with two saunas, steam rooms, cold water pool, spa bath, foot bath, jet shower for treatment of essential oils, body massage shower and relax room classic.

The hotel is perfectly situated though not easy to find if you have booked independently. It is near to Villaflor, the highest village in Spain, with wonderful views. It is in a lovely quiet place.
The staff are extremely helpful and welcoming.
Unfortunately the food is dreadful. We were on half-board and the evening meals were almost inedible.

“ The first thing noticed was the darkness of the whole hotel. Low level lighting was the norm except in the restaurant. The hotel design was very 'quirky' which was quite nice. For breakfast (which was about average) you had to walk to the other end of the hotel and descend into a cellar. The big danger point was that the numerous stairs were of grey volcanic stone and combined with the low light level composed a danger of missing one. However, the staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfortable but firm and the facilities and surroundings quite good. The restaurant provided good food but was way too expensive. Remember that at approximately 3,000 ft above sea level, the temperature is always 9°C lower than the coast. The position was ideal for travel into the caldera (Nat Park) and you just have to love driving on those hairpin bend roads to stay here. I did. Try it.
“ Top Tip: Hiring a car is essential. The roads are all excellent and full of hairpin bends. Great fun. A trip to Maska is a MUST but not on a Sunday. Decent down a mountain and up the other side. Spectacular.

“ The hotel was a little dark in places, the staff was very friendly and helpful especially the restaurant staffs, the gardens were very nice and they have a fabulous indoor pool and Jacuzzi, breakfast could have had more variety but evening meals were large and well cooked

“ Very pleasant hotel in a quiet location, although it looks like there may be some building going on nearby; there are some new apartments just up the road from the hotel. Our second stay here and we knew how to get there - but you should make sure you know where it is (up a small and steep road in La Escolona) before you set out to find it, especially at night. Good views down to the coast. Fairly close to the National Park.
