Eurostars Toledo Hotel

“ A standard hotel with good amenities and friendly staff. The room was good size with a comfortable bed and a bath. The hotel is on the outskirts of Toledo so it is quite a walk (20 minutes or so) into the old city and the sights although I believe there is a local bus service. There were many local restaurants available which the staff were happy to recommend.

“ Top Tip: The old city is just fantastic - a must to visit - with it's old narrow streets which the cars squeeze through and many old folk taking a walk down (and then up) mind-boggling gradients!!

“ Friendly helpful staff but only spanish speaking if you don't have the language it could be difficult. Also the lack of a bar is inconvenient as the hotel is some distance from the town and its bars etc. You can smoke in your room (smoking) but not outside the hotel or at the pool (dinky), very strange especially for Spain. Price of staying at this hotel very reasonable especially as it is of quite high quality but really only a stopover place.

“ Top Tip: The receptionist recommended 2 restaurants in the old town which turned out to be exceptional and far above anything we found by ourselves. Abadia is one of them and the other is a few metres down the street opposite the entrance to Abadia (but both very Spanish - not suitable if you don't like tapas etc.)

“ Hotel is excellent but is away from the old city. The walk takes about 30 minutes but a frequent bus service is available and there is also plenty of parking at the old city.

“ A decent choice and good value for money considering comfort, facilities and staff professionalism. The only little problem being a location which is not bad at all even though some 10-15 minute hike from the walls of old town.
