“ We chose Toledo for a winter break to celebrate our Silver Wedding Anniversary and it proved to be a very romantic city to wander through day or night! There is plenty to see and no shortage of restaurants even in November although many didn't open till 10pm or so! All the streets are cobbled and with steep hills and/or steps so need sensible shoes and plenty of time to dawdle. You could easily fill 2 full days just in the historic centre. This hotel provided excellent service, with close and secure parking (although 14 Euros per night) and the building was very interesting with lots of additions over the years! Everything was spotlessly clean too which is always a dodgy subject. Breakfast was continental but all guests were encouraged to eat as much as they could (but no removal of fruit etc for later consumption), no restaurant for evening meals but the nearest place opposite the hotel was wonderful anyway and should be visited at least once! Brilliant location for all the sights but absolutely no noise in our room at night and our full length window opened onto a pretty courtyard. My only criticism is the heating was on full blast even though it was a balmy 22C outside, but it would be lovely and warm on a cold night! I suspect it would be equally cool in the baking heat they experience during the summer months. All in all, a fantastic value for money hotel and Toledo was an experience not to be missed, especially by city-phobes like us!

This charming hotel and very good service.
In our case I have to say we spent the night on the Friday before Christmas, and having AVAILABLE room, we got a top instead of the standard that we had reserved, the room very very nice, clean and well heated.
