The best thing about this hotel is the location. It is right in the middle of the Old Town and very close to shops, restaurants and local transport. The room was clean and comfortable (although the bed was a bit hard!) it was also quiet considering we were in the middle of a large town. It had a free safe and a fridge we could use. The wardrobe hanging space was very limited though, we struggled and we were only there for 3 days. There was a laptop in the room (I'd read about that but didn't believe it!) and wifi for the phone/IPod etc. The breakfast was perfectly adequate, billed as continental but there was also bacon and scrambled eggs.
The lady receptionist couldn't have been more helpful. She gave us information about bus routes (we would have struggled without that) and told us places to go that we wouldn't have found otherwise. Also came and rescued us when we couldn't open the safe!
No parking at the hotel so parked in public car park nearby 20 euros per day.

“ Terrific location, a few steps away from the wonderful 'Museum of Ceramics', and close to the jaw-dropping 'Central Market'. The service is haphazard, varying from excellent (finding out and printing train timetables, for example) to indifferent (not seeing to problems which have been brought to the receptionist's attention). What lets the hotel down is the pretty poor state of ameniences: mini-bar fridge stocked but not working, laptop not working (though free wi-fi is provided if you've brought yours), power-shower in need of some attention. Otherwise impeccably clean, and not as noisy as some comments would suggest. With a little effort, could be a real gem, due to its perfect location in the heart of the Old Town.
“ Top Tip: Valencia offers some of the very best tapas in Spain, and 'El Pilar' (Calle Moro Zeit) some of the best in Valencia. Cheap (swordfish steak for 6€!), unpretentious, friendly: it ticks all the right boxes. Smoking allowed throughout, which might be a no-no for some, but was a definite plus for me. And no-one going to Valencia should miss out on its extraordinary Central Market, a paradise for food lovers.
