“ Excellent service, clean room (in the main hotel not a villa). On the positive side the hotel was not very busy and we had almost exclusive use of the main large pool. The front desk were helpful - not the best restaurant recommendations (they only seemed to recommend "Eat Sense", which is good but once is enough) - but when we did our own research and asked them to book for us, they did this efficiently, as with taxi requests. The food for breakfast was adequate, lunch was decent (although not much choice) and we had dinner in the Pearl restaurant once, which was very good. The spa is excellent and very cheap. Unfortunately, the hotel is doing some sort of joint venture with a company called "Absolute", whose reps continually show people around the hotel (perhaps to purchase a time share?). This is fine for one day but when it is a constant stream of people day after day it gets annoying. When I complained the manager did nothing about it as they are in partnership so their happiness clearly means more to him than his guests' - perhaps this skewed priority is the reason that this venture is necessary... I would have rated the hotel as Excellent if it had not been for this annoyance.

“ Top Tip: The hotels seem to have the best restaurants; I would recommend Full Moon as a special treat. We did a trip to Ang Thong National Park which was good fun and you get a beautiful view if you do the 1 hour rock climb to see the islands from above.
