Sahara Douz

“ The reception service is terrible. I arrived early but it seems that there was something wrong with the booking. I have to wait till 12 am for them to give me a room. I understand that the time for checking in was 12 am but they were not helpful at all. At the end I have to leave and comeback around 6 pm to put my stuff in my room.

On New Years Day they said I have to pay 170 tunisian dinars for the New Years party as it was compulsory, I said I was not going to paid as I didn't arrange anything with the agency, They always tried to ripe you off. The hotel was nice and rooms nice and clean but the reception staff was dreadful.

I had a friend and they suggested to him that he could stay in the room with me. How they dare to suggest that I could share my room with someone.

I think they take things personal and not business wise. They have to learn a lot.

“ Top Tip: There is nothing to recommend around the hotel as Douz is a very little town with nothing to go for it. Only for those going on trips for the SAhara.

There is not restaurants or live night at lot. There is not beaches around. Djerba is an island about 5 to 6 hours driving. It is beautiful and I think is the nearest beach.

There are a lot places to go and visit near Douz as the South is more beautiful then the north, but everything is at least 2 to 3 hour driving but is well worth the driving.
