The Hotel staff are genuinely warm and friendly from the gentleman Managing Director to the all the hotel waiting staff. As soon as I arrived I was made to feel so welcome by the animation team who greeted me on entering the restaurant for the first time. I was upgraded to a sea view room on the 4th floor and what a stunning view. The beds were large and very comfortable and the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean.I enjoyed the hotel activities run by the animation team that made the holiday extra special I especially enjoyed the Archery and dance classes. There is a very well run mini club with very good facilities for the children run by Anissa who was extremely professional and such a very hard worker. She also teaches the archery and dance with great enthusiasm. The facilities are excellent with a large outdoor swimmimg pool and also an outstanding Thalassotherapy (seawater) treatment and massage centre that provides for a very relaxing and therapeutic experience.

Top Tip: Join in the Animation activities run by the outstanding team of Ali, Anissa and Hamdi. They are a credit to the hotel. Enjoy the stunning beach walk from Yasmine Hammamet to Hammamet. Take advantage of the 3 day treatment at the Thalassotherapy massage centre and enjoy a 50% discount. El Jem is a must see!

The hotel was Ok but as you will have already heard before from every person the hotels in Tunisia are certainly not 5 stars. The food we excellent in this hotel compared with all the other hotels we have stayed in. We have been to Jasmine hammamet on business several times recently and stayed at many hotels in the area. One thing that really does annoy me is the way all the hotels rip off clients that want to use the internet. They charge on average 10 dinars per hour which is ridiculous but the internet is so slow and you spend litterally 50% of your time waiting for the page to change. However this racket is in all hotels in the area.

Anyway put simply for holiday makers the hotel was nice, staff been told to be smiley and friendly, room was good, hotel pool poor for kids and families, food excellent!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Iberostar Solaria. The hotel was lovely, food was good and the staff were really good fun and very attentive, especially the ones we tipped. I would say however, we were the only English bar one other lady in the hotel - this was fine for us but it should probably be mentioned to other people looking to go there as the other English lady we met was not too impressed.

Top Tip: Really good Indian Restaurant in the medina in Yasmine Hammamet - it's called the Taj Mehal (not the most original name) it's run by a Tunisian man who's spent ten years in England, all the produce is imported from the UK and the curries were good, as was the wine. Plus compared to ALL the other restaurants in the area it is the only one offering something other than the usual pizza, pasta, etc etc. Definately worth a visit.

Poor

Check-in date:

Disappointing, there's better value in Hammamet. The gym consists of two excersie bikes and v.poorly maintained weights machine which I wouldn't use. The time of year we visited meant the indoor pool was a must however was only avaliable for two hours a day free of charge, and then was like something out of an asylum - lots of bars (the disabled type) around almost the whole pool (cranes included). The whole spa area was dated and smelt musky from all the water therapy drains - we declined our free massage it was so uninviting. The food looked and tasted good, lots of variety but we ended upwith upset stomachs.
Very child friendly but it seems that the Tunisians love children so other places may well offer the same. I think there seems to be three good hotels in hammamet the Riu Oceana, Le Royal (we also stayed here, needs some polishing but a lot nearer the 5 star advertised at both) and I forget the other one - sorry!

Top Tip: Stay somewhere else!!
