This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Tunisia, it was lovely to look at from outside all the traditional features were beautiful, the rooms werecleaned well each day.The reataurant bar and beach staff were most helpful and friendly in a non pushy way.I would go back there tommorow ( If I had the money )!!

Top Tip: A local cafe/bar did a happy hour but they kept forgetting to end the hour ! it was just a small place next to the Tex Mex restaurant.

The hotel Vincci Lella Baya in Yasmine hammamet is an excellent hotel. Although this is a fairly new hotel, when you enter the main entrance you are greeted by a view of what an old Tunisia town may have looked. It has been well planned and thought out and every day you come down to the main hall you notice some part of the decor you may have missed before. The staff are very polite and eager to help and are always smiling and energetic. The food is excellent with a very wide variety of dishes to suit all tastes which change daily. The rooms are large and very clean, and linen is changed every day. We had a double room which had a view of the beach and sea.
The pool and garden area is very clean and well maintained. There are always activities to participate in every day, from learning Arabic to pool excercises and Tai Chi. At night there is entertainment ranging from Belly dancing to a Fakir who lays on swords and a bed of nails and charms snakes. There is always a life guard on duty by the pool and on the beach.
We went at the beginning of June which is not the start of the holiday period so it was fairly quiet. Meaning we had plenty of room and the road outside was very quiet.
The beach has lovely soft sand and the sea is clear and you can go for long walks along the beach. We walked to Hammamet which was very relaxing had a lovely Sea bass lunch there at "Le Berbere" restaurant and caught one of the road trains back. Whatever kind of holiday you are looking for you will find it here.

Top Tip: There is a Medina close by where you can haggle a price for your souvenir or if you don't like to haggle the is also a store called "L' artisan" with gifts at fixed, reasonable prices. In Hammamet try the "Le Berbere" for a beer or delicious sea food.

To Whom It May Concern:

Well I have just returned from the beautiful sun of Hammamet Yasmine Tunis where I stayed at the Vinci Lella Baya hotel. The hotel itself is quite extraordinary in architectural terms quite stunning “Aladdin’s Cave”. The room was large and we had as requested a sea view. The washroom was fine and clean .The towels yes, are well used but fine they do the job. The décor of the rooms, minimalist but you get what you pay for, the T.V. worked the Fridge worked’ish, there was however an added cost for the room safe which was a surprise and a little cheap with regards to the hotels 5 Star billing.
Where the hotel feel down on its face was the food …thank god we did not go for all inclusive and just did BB .We went out to other 5 star hotels for dinner and saw a Huge difference Massive . The breakfast was OK but how can you kill toast, however they charged extra for real coffee and orange juice...very tight….Is this hotel a 5 Five star, not by any ratings that I am aware of, and I have been to a few all over this beautiful planet and a couple in Yasmine that really are .
Another point of observation is that if you have to paint the exterior of your hotel why not try and do it before the tourist get there and not while they are there, not to mention the Beach constructions [management a little slow, on the concept.].
Anyway a good long walk down the beautiful beach and your past all the hotels and in paradise alone and have the ocean all to yourself.
The people are all very pleasant and friendly. The constant sales pitch is not as in your face as all that, and way less aggressive then in Morocco.
All in all I will be going back and soon but not the lella Baya .I found that although the hotel staffs were all very friendly and attentive, they were a little to eager for me to get up and do things whether it is ping pong or pool exercise etc. When I go on vacation I go to get away from all that pressure and extraneous noises, I go to just relax, like most people, so myself and many others like me don’t want to hear rap blasting by the pool, that’s why I tend to go for the 5 start hotels they understand that your brief stay is for sun and Rand R, and they tend to keep the noise pollution to a minimum. Another reason this particular hotel is not a 5 star, but none the less for the price it was fine, just get ride of the cook.

Top Tip: Yes I went to all the so called 5 star hotels in Yasmine and found 2 that really are what they say and will be going back there to stay with them . of corse the prices will not be the same. But there will be no surprises either just 5 Stars.
one is the Hasdrubal thalssa and spa hotel the other is my secret.
