For a three star very good. Food good, plenty choice every meal. All inclusive drinks, very poor choice - vodka, tunisian brandy, wine, beer and cocktails not off very good taste!! Location lovely right on the beach which was kept immaculate by the staff and had their own lifeguard.
Hotel staff very helpful and good at their job. Entertainment limited although animation team tried very hard to put on a show each night which was sometimes good.
My only real complaint was the standard of the bedrooms, very dated and in need of decoration badly. The towels were so worn I wouldnt use them I used my beach towel!!

Also I objected to having to pay for a matress to put on my sun lounger after paying for all inclusive which you have to do so. Its only £1.00 a day but I dint think they should have been charging.

Check-in date:

My family and I (2 adults + children aged 12 and 10) have just returned from Club Selima and I can honestly say that it is probably the best value 3* hotel in Port el Kantaoui. Rooms are basic (please note ladies - NO HAIRDRIERS in rooms!) and probably need a bit of a refurb but they are kept clean by the hard working maids. It doesn't have the most impressive looking foyer but the rooms are nicely set out in small blocks throughout the grounds (the 4* hotel next door had barrack style rooms which looked terrible). The food is typical AI food (gets repetitive after one week's stay) but the salads were lovely and the general standard was high. We made use of the free minigolf and tennis courts and would have used the free watersports (but the red flag prevented us getting out on the water). The swimming pools had lovely views out to sea and you can also use the indoor swimming pool and the sailing boats for free at the hotel next door. Pool tables cost 2TD (less than £1) and we had a good few games. The walk along the beach to PEK is a knackering 30-40 minutes - mainly due to the beautiful soft white sand you have to wade through. However, as already mentioned taxis cost very little.
If you want to do lots of sightseeing then April is an ideal temperature but if you want to do some real sunbathing I would leave going until May/June as I found the temperature a bit on the chilly side (think typical British summer temperatures with pretty cool evenings). I didn't take enough warm clothes with me. There is lots to see in Tunisia so try and get out and about because their economy REALLY needs your help at the moment.

Top Tip: We did the 2 day Sahara explorer trip with TTC (Tunisian Travel Club). My children are very good at travelling but I would really stress that the coach travel was crippling in very cramped seats (I'm only 5'4" and my knees touched the seat in front). We spent only about 30 minutes at El Djem and very little time at the other stops. The camel ride (extra cost of 15TD per adult and half price for children) in the sahara was the highlight but I would really advise booking a 3 day trip with a smaller group tour if possible.

The hotel was ok for a 3 star, but there was only larger, sweet brandy, snaps and 2 shots a fig and date. I am diabetic and there was no suger free drinks in the hotel.

Top Tip: There was nothing near the hotel, but the camel ride from the hotel was great and very good value for money.
