“ Hotel rooms basic, however hardly spent any time in them. Animators and staff all very friendly, with shows every night. For the price we had no complaints, the only downside was the pillows on the bed were extrememly hard!
“ Top Tip: Try the quadbiking, great price - £20 for nearly 2 hours, well worth the money. Also in the hotel have a pedicure or facial, both £20. Again well worth the money and the beautician was very good at her job.

“ What a beautiful hotel the Houda is set in lovely gardens and is kept spotless. All the staff at the hotel are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There are 3 swimming pools all supervised by life guards so very safe for children. The entertainments team are fantastic you will be smiling all the time. Plenty to eat 3 restaurants plus poolside food bar. I highly recommend it.
“ Top Tip: The Folla shopping centre is across the road from the hotel and the prices are very reasonable for those who dont want to be hassled at the markets. The Safari bar and night club are close by and has a great atmospher well worth a visit or two and is open well into the night.

Thank you Travel Republic, excellent as always!! I'm afraid this will be a rather biased review as I love Tunisia! The Houda is a very good 3* hotel with good facilities for families. The main pool where the entertainment is can be quite busy but you can always get a sun-bed by the slide pool, (you must try the slides!). The beach is very safe for children and shelves gently into the sea, (which is like a bath in the summer months!). The staff here are very friendly & polite, I always use the philosophy, "treat others as you would like to be treated," and you won't go far wrong. A smile goes a long way and if you learn a little Arabic too, you will gain respect. The rooms are basic but it's all-inclusive so you don't need a fridge or tea/coffee making facilities!! We had no problems with the food and none of my family has ever been ill due to the food. It's always wise to be choosy - especially with cooked meat - use your own judgement. Yes, it can get repetitive but there is always something for even the fussiest!! Our waiters Abdul, Haykel & Azouz were great, tipping is not compulsory but it is appreciated. The a la carte Tunisian & Italian restaurant are well worth a visit. Well, what can I say about the animation staff!! Mouki & his team are superb, yes, some of the guys are a little crazy!! But the dancing & shows are amazing, well done everyone! Don't miss the fire show on the beach!
The Houda is in a quiet area. with only a couple of shops & Safari Bar in walking distance, but taxis are always available for you to go and explore! Don't forget to haggle the price before you get in! Don't be intimidated in the shops, go & have fun! - these guys are great at what they do - but only buy what you need!! Haggling does get easier with practice!!
We have done most of the excursions now and have seen many parts of Tunisia, the Sahara Trip is a must & Sidi Bou Said is beautiful. I could go on forever but you need to go & make up your own mind, what pleases one won't please another! I don't recommend Tunisia if you are looking for "English breakfast", "Mcdonalds" or "Happy hour" if this is what you want, I suggest you stick to Spain!
“ Top Tip: Visit Sahline & sit in the cafe on the corner, perfect for watching the world go by!!
