“ Staff very friendly. Despite Hotel Salem (same site) being refurbished, work noise was at a minimum, though there is a lot of building mess around the wider area.

we have been to this hotel many times and always loved it, however this time
it was different. It was full ( mostly locals ) and it made the service dreadfull.
The dining room was overwhelming there was shortage of tables, plates, and
cutlery. the waiters did their best but at times it was chaos. It seems that it was
a school holiday locally. The children were running around the dining room, the lifts
and quiet sitting areas. We would love to go back in November but how so we know
about local school holidays. I would like your feedback please.

“ I have been going to this hotel for 13 years and it has been constistently good, with excellent service and helpful friendly staff. The food is really good, fresh, nutricious and lots of variety. An absolute delight!
“ Top Tip: There are plenty of great local cafes nearby where you can get sandwiches and coffees and fresh oranges . Go where the Tunisians go!

I travelled on my own to Sousse in Tunisia and stayed at Marhaba Royal Salem, it is a very big hotel, I went in March and the hotel was barely full, it felt to me quite busy at meal times etc. but it might be too busy in high season.
I was all inclusive which is probably the best way to go,( I wouldn't want a bar bill at the end for instance!!). The hotel was clean and all the staff very attentive.
My room was spotless and the maids very friendly. All the hotel facilities are great. I didn't go on the excursions but those who did seemed happy enough. The beach is lovely, very clean, and the sea perfect for kids and all, the only complaint I have is the weather was awful but that is no-ones fault. apparently its the worst winter there for 18 years!! I'm definately going back soon for some sun!

Top Tip:
I found tipping all the staff little (1 Dinar) and often, was very much appreciated, gets what you want more quickly!
If you get a taxi agree the price before you get in!
