The hotel comprises 4 villas that are roughly 300 years old and are decorated with all the historical and mythical features of the old town of Antalya, ""Kaleiei"". The main building dates back to the 18th and early 19th century and is decorated in the style of the Hellenics, Romans, Byzantines and Seljuk. The building was renovated in the Ottoman style with much care and attention to detail, and reconstructed with ancient ceiling decorations, fireplaces, hand-carved doors and cupboards. The well in the courtyard, preserved in its original state, adds romance to guests' stay. Hospitality, tradition and luxury are all priorities at this hotel. The use of genuine antiques and lavish materials emphasises the traditional atmosphere of the hotel. The air-conditioned city hotel includes a total of 3 floors with 72 rooms and offers a garden, a terrace and a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe and a currency exchange counter. Further facilities include a cafe, a dining room and a restaurant. Business guests may make use of the conference room and the Internet access/ WLAN (charges apply). Antalya airport also lies around 15 km away.Ottoman style detailing and decoration is evident in the design of the rooms. Guests may be surprised to find a real fireplace in their room. The fittings include a bathroom with luxurious amenities as well as a shower, a hairdryer, a bathrobe and slippers. “ The Alp Pasa is different from lots of hotels. The bedrooms are in three or four buildings centred around the central reception/restaurant area which also contains the pool and a large courtyard. The hotel is within the walled city of Antalya and is surrounded by old and quiet streets with hardly any cars. It's good and such a change from the concrete blocks of the big new beachside structures.
“ Top Tip: If you fancy a days mini adventure try taking the local tram and then bus to the Roman ruins at Perge.

Room small with no facilities to make hot drinks , little space for clothing no drawers . Drinks unreasonably expensive . Food ok bit of a scramble to get anything or places to sit to eat and poor catering for people with different diets e.g. no main courses for vegetarians .
Our bed linen was not changed in over a week , had to ask the chamber maid to do it . Sheets & duvet covers were torn or had holes in . In general staff were friendly and helpful there were a couple who did not respond very well .
Over all we were very disappointed as we have stayed in much better quality hotels that do not purport to be so up market and payed less money , in season .
“ Top Tip: Mermerli restaurant near the marina leads to a private beach , cost apr £4 . Food here is very good .

We had the Brahms room which was located on the very top floor. It had a great view over the rooftops with a spectacular view of the Taurus mountains and the bay in the distance to wake up to. We used to sit out on our little balcony sipping real turkish tea and just take in the ambiance of the surroundings. In the evening around sunset clouds of bats would stream out of the rafters of an old building to the left of us. We would watch enchanted as the bats hunted their evening meal turning on a sixpence as that captured moths and flies on the wing. The room was very clean and room staff worked very hard cleaning room every day and laying out frest towls. The bathroom was a joy to use. Full power water jet massage and shower then finish with a long jacussi, sheer bliss after a long day touring the sights of Turkey. The Restaurant was beautiful with a pool in the middle which made the air feel fresh and cool. The eating area was full of old Greek and Roman artifacts and lovely Turkish items of interest. The staff were attentive and very smart in appearance. They were all wired up to two way radios and had electronic smart controllers linked to accounts so no money changed hands it was all charged to your room. The breakfast was very good, all the variety you would want. From localy produced fresh bread of all kinds, then there was a fast selection of cheese Feta and great local ones as well. A great choice of yogurt with bowls of honey and jams. The hot courses were eggs fried, boiled or omletes plus pancakes with the odd sausage or tomato. Good coffee and tea. But the Orange juice on the bar is not worth drinking is just chemical made up. The waiters do come round with wonderful fresh pressed orange juice which they offer you but it costs extra. (I think for a 4 star hotel fresh orange should be on the menu not an extra). The evening meal is not to the standard of the breakfast. The salad selection is superb with a fast assortment of local produce to temp anyone. But the main hot meal could be so much better if the chef put his heart into it. We had a great dish of fresh fish, which was fried one or two at a time which caused queues like school dinners. The chef does not waste food so what is left over albiet fresh it is served next night in a new dish. So fresh fried fish one night will be fish stew next. But it taste good. (But as dining is in open air food goes cool fast)
Couple of gripes the beer is served in 33cl glasses at full price. I ordered two glasses of wine and got two very short measures, so short I gave mine to my wife to get a full glass. I spoke to waiter to sort it but he never did, so we never puchased a drink there again. Shame as it is a great hotel and i would go again as it captures the real Turkey. But it appears that waiters are under pressure to get as much money from guests as they can, when in fact if they relaxed a little and gave greater value customers would spend more.
Last niggle why charge 1Eu for a city map which has the largest advert of hotel on it when just outside the walls the town tourist office will give you all the maps and help you want free.

Top Tip:
For a trip to the Antalya museum go by tram. Catch the tram outside the old wall and head towards the mountains. The museum is the last stop and cost only 2.5 TL for two people one way amazing value. The museum is a wonderful place to spend half a day in the art is awsome. After the museum you can walk in the park and go down the hill to a large stoney beach. The sea is clean deep and warm sheer bliss. The boat trips in Antalya are great but the price varies on how hard you bargain. The going rate is 15 Eu`s each for 1 hour. Just say 10 and they will agree, but stick to your guns and say TL not EU`s if not walk away you will always get the deal in TL instead of higher EU`s. On a hot day Efes beer is wonderful expect to pay around 7 to 8 TL for 50ml do not pay EU`s as always higher.
For the real quality Turkish gifts at fair prices go to Bindalli which is in an old turkish bath house hundreds of years old just outside the main old wall Hadrians gate. check it out on www.bindalli.org
Perge is a must trip. You can get there by public transport. Ask at local tourist office. Its tram and a bus easy to do. Last tip You can get a shuttle bus new Merc bus from Antalya main War Monument (Man on Horse) to Antalya airport every hour on the hour for 10 TL great value beats taxi

“ Hotel and rooms are kept very clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. Would have liked to have had more information about places to visit and accessing transport. Was surprised to be charged for water and coffee with evening meal. Food good standard generally but more variety with main meal would have been nice especially as we stayed for 3 weeks.
