Korsan Ada Hotel

“ We had a great holiday at the Korsan Ada Hotel. It was very Turkish in it's style and culture (not much English spoken) and we were the only Brits staying there! The room was compact, but very clean and had everything that we needed, including good storage space, a flat screen TV, hairdryer, good aircon, clean towels every day and several changes of bed linen. The sea view from our balcony was amazing, even though we had a side room. There are no rules or regulations at the hotel to worry you, the staff are all extremely friendly and laid back, and as a result we had the most relaxing holiday we've ever had. The hotel is in a fantastic location on the Cukurbag Peninsula, and of course is on a steep slope - as are all the hotels in this area. However, although we're in our 50's, we found the walk to the road to catch the bus into town wasn't too bad and only took about 5 minutes. The seafront platform at the hotel was great for sunbathing with good access into the sea, and there was a nice pool and several terraces where you could also relax and admire the amazing view across the sea to the Taurus mountains opposite - superb!

This isn't a 'prissy' boutique hotel, and at the end of season it was showing some signs of wear and tear, but it was honest and the standards were perfectly acceptable and all the more relaxing for it. We'll definitely be returning!

“ Top Tip: There was a good menu available for day time snacks, but the set evening meal (buffet) was great value for money, certainly healthy, and absolutely delicious. I'd recommend you stay half board for a real taste of turkish fare, eat early, and then go into town for a drink afterwards, as the hotel doesn't have a late bar as such and in any case only served beer, wine and raki whilst we were there, as most of the other Turkish guests didn't drink, so the hotel was very quiet after dinner.

Do take a boat over to Limanazi Bay and spend the day at one of the beach clubs there. It's a lovely trip, for only 10tl each, with good facilities, beds, umbrellas etc, and (at Nuri's anyway) an easy paddle into the sea with great swimming/snorkling opportunities, and a fabulous view back to Kas.
