Samira Deluxe Hotel

“ Very friendly Staff, always made you feel welcome. We stayed early in the season in the hotel section on a bed and breakfast basis. Rooms were cleaned daily and new towels provided. No complaints at all. We ate in the Restaurant 3 nights and the food was very good and reasonably priced. Only downfall is the position up a steep hill across the main rd, we were fully aware of this and as we enjoy walking it helps to keep you fit, it wouldn't be suitable for anybody with walking difficulties.

“ Top Tip: Very good restaurant was the Akdeniz excellent food friendly staff.Hidden by the Chocolate bar up dead end road,worth looking for.

“ This hotel can be summed up quite simply, in being exceptional on all accounts, the cleanliness, the staff, the service, the cost, we will be back again next year without any doubt.

“ Top Tip: Eating out you will not find a better choice, or better service any where in the world than in any of the Kalkan restaurants, if you want to go on a boat trip I can highly recommend the Sea Bella, you get a fantastic meal on board for lunch, and while you are enjoying your trip, the captains wife bakes a cake in the galley for afternoon tea, nothing short of fantastic.

“ We were booked for two nights but stayed only one. Kalkan is a nice enough place built into a hillside and the town is split by a dual carriage way. This hotel is the 'wrong' side of the road so it's a 15 minute at least slog down into town and goodness knows how long back up the mountain side. The location is totally impractical for a couple of old fogeys like us and not so good for young 'uns. A shuttle bus runs 4 times a day and the unhelpful lad behind the desk pointed us towards the wrong place to wait so muggins finished up driving into town. The part of the hotel we were billeted in was dated even for Turkey which is a country we know well and is badly in need of some TLC. Poor night's sleep on rock hard pillows led to a quick check after breakfast.

“ Top Tip: The only thing close the hotel are potholes in the road. Eat on the harbourside if you can find a mule to carry your bags and a tent.
