Hera Hotel

“ Hera Hotel was ideally located for the Kas/restaurants/bars etc and also for the beach which is approximately a 15 minutes walk (depending how fit you are!). The breakfast buffet was adequate only comment would be that no orange/apple juice is available only water. The hotel looks like some modernisation has been carried out ie Reception/lobby lounge area, other floors yet to be completed. The pool is on the small side but perfectly suitable for children or brief dip for an adult. The views from the hotel are second to none - you won't be disappointed.

“ Top Tip: Mama's Kitchen serves homemade Turkish food with good views to the harbour. Sempati also very good (opposite Silk Road shop). Hi Jazz Bar was excellent, intimate small bar set back off the main shopping street (old part) - great music and personal service. Echo Bar also good with live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. Ufuk at Dolce Vita was very helpful advising on trips to book suited to my requirements - his English is excellent and he genuinlely wants to help you pick the best trip for you.

“ Rooms at front with balcony have stunning view of the sea and Kas bay. Breakfast included and very good quality. In-house Hammam excellent. Terrace with pool great for sunbathing and again the stunning views.
Kas has no beaches but the hotel has direct access to the sea with swimming from rock ledges. Fun for good swimmers but would need to be careful with young children.

“ Top Tip: Do take a boat trip to Kekova and also visit the fishing village of Ucagiz

“ The general standard of the hotel and friendliness of the staff was better than good. I/we were disappointed that there was no beach and that this was not really explained. There is a concrete access to the sea but it is not suitable if there is an onshore wind as there was whilst we were there. Breakfast is repetitive but acceptable and we didn't use the evening restaurant facility so I cannot comment on that. We were disappointed that we were in a twin room....there was no facility to request a double room on the booking application. All in all, considering the price we paid, a perfectly acceptable stay with friendly, helpful staff.

“ Great location situated on the sea front and only a few minutes walk into Kas. Lovely staff so friendly and helpful. Second visit to this hotel and would recommend to anybody.

“ Top Tip: Some lovely restaurants in Kas and for a gorgeous fillet steak you must find Chez Evy with nicest homemade icecream ever!! A must is also to a hire a boat for the day from Kas around the coast or a visit to the Sunken City in Kekova. There are also little boats which take you to other areas where you can totally relax sunbathing on big cushions, lunch and swim with fabulous mountain views to Kas itself.
