We stayed at this hotel 2.5 years ago and went back because we had such a good time. We were not dissappointed this holiday either. Staff is helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean. In October, the season is coming to an end and shops near the theatre and the Thai restaurant were closed.
The shops were left very untidy with empty displays standing outside and the big water feature that runs in front of the shops had no water in it, leaving this area looking very unattractive. The Thai restaurant was used as storage space for the beach umbrella's and many pots used as ashtrays on the beach, some of them broken. This is also the area where the pingpong table is and where other activities for children (and adult keep fit classes) are being held. At the beginning of the holiday there were 2 pingpong tables and at the end only one which meant, sometimes, a long wait before you could have your turn. Also, there is extreme sunlounger hogging meaning that if you do not put your towels on a sunbed early in the morning you will be sitting in the shade or have to move the loungers+umbrella's or not be able to sit near the toddlers'pool if you have small children. Our duplex room (8114) looked tired and could do with a small make-over especially the top bedroom. Both bathrooms were fine and very clean but walk-in cupboard upstairs need attention as joints have come undone and suffers considerable wear and tear. The equipment in the gym has seen better days and the outdoor gym equipment needs re-cementing in. The reddish tarmac? path which leads from the hotel to the beach is very cracked and full with holes and could do with repairs. Occasionally, even on the 8th floor we could hear the music from next door hotel. The cats living in the hotel grounds also use the garden as their littertray, creating the occasional unpleasant odour.
The watersports on the beach are costly but worth the experience.
The smoothies at breakfast and the cart with fresh fruit and veg which came around the swimming pool and beach were a nice touch and very much enjoyed. The entertainment staff was good and really made it fun for the children and adults alike. The Turkish lessons were a good idea. The evening entertainment in the outdoor theatre, was very popular and as the evenings were a little bit chilly, there was hot chocolate and mulled wine and towels provided, to keep warm. All in all, we have had a lovely holiday at the Lara beach hotel.
“ Top Tip: We used a taxi from the airport to the hotel, about a 15 minute transfer costing 20 Euros, as expected. On the return, from hotel to airport they wanted 25 Euros being told it was a fixed price! Haggling is still prevalent in this part of the world.

we had a 4 night family holiday with our parents and kids. It was absolutely fabulous. The hotel was great, food was excellent, beach was lovely, and the staff were brilliant. We loved the hotel so much that we will be visiting it again as they cater from a new born to 80+.
I am very grateful to the guest ralation officer Denis and all of the hotel staff as they were great , very helpful and understanding in our difficult times (medical emegency). The staff at the hotel do not speak much english but they always made great effort to understand their guest by trying to find someone who could help.
Food was a bit bland for us but that is our fault as we are used to eating spicy food. Everything was prepared in front of us fresh and was made by keeping everyone in mind. I cannot thank enough, everyone at laura beach hotel as they made us feel at home, even the house keeping staff were very understanding.
The high light of this hotel is their world class lift ( the main attraction ) kids are fasinated by the lifts which over looked in the lobby. My both sons thought that they were in Dubai's famous 7* hotel. I myself rate this hotel to be a 10* for its service and looks.
The only draw back of our holiday was the a visit to A & E were the staff were unhelpful, rude and un hygenic. But thanks to Denis they were also very helpful on our visit next day. My first unfortunate medical emergency experience was not that bad, this was all due to Denis taking time out to sit withme to comfort and assure me that everything would be alright.
I will be recommiding this hotel to all my freinds and family.
Once again thankyou very much to everyone at Laura beach Hotel.
“ Top Tip: everything was in the hotel did not need to go anywhere looking for anything accept for buying soveniour's.

“ There is no way this hotel should be rated as 5 star. We stayed in the Aqua in Ichmeler in May and comparing the two the Lara Beach would be a 3+ at the most. I have stayed in better rooms in a Travelodge. The wooden floor was all scratched and whilst the room was generally clean it was fairly small, we expected the wow factor (like we got in the Aqua) but didn't get it. The service in general was poor, we dined in the resturant for 5 nights and on 3 occassions I had to get our drinks, some tables had bottles of red and white wine on them but we were NEVER offered a glass of wine whilst other diners were served the wine by the staff. In the bar on the ground floor we had to wait for ages for someone to ask if we wanted a drink, in the end I went to the bar to save time. On our last day (Monday 17th Oct 2011) we had to sit in the lounge on the ground floor as we checked out at 10 am but were not getting picked up to go to the airport until 23.45 and during that time (11 hours) we were only asked twice if we wanted a drink. We will not be going back to this hotel nor would I recommend it to anyone else.

Very good hotel - It is a small building compared to the others on Lara Beach but with very similar size grounds and facilities, which means no hassle in terms of subed availability, queueing for drinks, food etc, as there are much fewer people trying to use the pool/bars/sunbeds.
The beach is good. Beach Snack Bar particularly good for lunch, and the tent where they make pizza to order.
It is changing its name to Liberty Hotel Lara next year - I hope the hotel isn't suddenly going to double in size!

Garden area was very nice and clean - plus well managed and run.
Standard rooms are very basic - always look to upgrade to garden view.
Air conditioning was working on day 1 (16 degree c) but was then manually turned off by management of hotel on following days when temp raised to 30 degree.
upon complaint we were initially told that this was on temperature sensor (not true) until we pointed out day 1 and day 2 difference. It wasnt until day 4 that air con was up and running, but hotel turned off after 11.00pm and during afternoon (I can only suggest this was cost saving exercise) - room became unbareable and no fans available in hotel.
Food was good on the whole, but main restaurant is more like a busy work canteen, so no special attention here.
Rooms were clean as the garden areas, and service staff were friendly.
Definately not a 5 star hotel, not even for Turkey standards.
“
Top Tip:
Shuttle bus to Antalya is good.
Get to main restaurant before 19.00 to get a table, or else it becomes mayhem.

A modern, large and spacious hotel built as the name suggests with a nautical theme and cruise concept on 9 levels and totalling 586 rooms. The large, marble floored lobby with glass-sided lifts and potted palms offers an impressive welcome. There are four pools, a spa and fitness centre, lots of sports on offer, a kids club and a water park with slides and a playground with a fun galleon to play in.
“ the hotel was great but the walls were very thin and you could hear every noise from next door and we were unlucky in that the last few days there were two dutch studants who held a party or two keeping us awake till the early hours, one time till 3am.
