  • “ just got back this morning. the food and rooms were excellent - food always varied and hot. our main bug was that there were no phones for the duration of the holiday due to the hotel having new lines put in and no apology - we also had to pay for wi-fi - we couldn't just connect to the hotel.

Located on Antalya's Lara Beach, some 15km from the city centre and 12km from the airport, this is a modern, large and spacious hotel built as the name suggests with a nautical theme and cruise concept, consisting of 589 rooms on 9 levels with an annexe family room building. The large, marble floored lobby with glass-sided lifts and potted palms offers an impressive welcome. There are four pools, a spa and fitness centre, lots of sports on offer, a kids club and a water park with slides and a playground with a fun galleon to play in.

“ This was our second visit, a little disappointing, the food was less appetising and there was less variety than last year. Also the premier league football TV channel has been discontinued, and the hotel wi-fi service wasn't available all week.

“ Very good hotel, very clean in and out, great pools complex, plenty of seating around pools and on beach. Food excellent and unashamedly Turkish rather than International. Drink A/I list everything there with Cocal cola as soft drinks brand.

Would loved to have travelled later than Easter time to enjoy the outdoor snack grill bars (not open at time) and samople the outdoor entertainment, still for April the weather in this part of Turkey was great and a very good holiday place.

Would encourage the hotel to do away with restaurant staff serving the drinks at lunch and dinner. It is slow, prevents table clearance making the restaurant look scruffy and delaying those coming in until tables can be reset. Self serve all the way I say.

“ Top Tip: Buses to Antalya good value at 1.5 TL, get off when you see the sea next to the bus and remember the bus number, not many timetables or routes shown at bus stops.

Lots of new indoor shopping centres near the hotel but few items marked with price so understand what the value of a purchase is before the haggling starts. If in doubt walk out.

“ It was great when we first arrived however, after 3 days all the outside restaurants shut and the bars would shut early, the sunbeds all started to get packed away and the midnight snack restaurant in the hotel closed. Great all inclusive if you only want to eat at particular times in the day and don't mind having to move from one bar to another as they close and open at their convenience. Oh and they even turned the air con off in the rooms.

“ Hotel was excerlent. The food was excerllent with plenty of choice for different tastes. Adecent library/quiet room would be a great idea.

“ Top Tip: Stay in hotel, a few shops and that's about it.
