Although we thought the hotel was great, because there were so many different restaurants within reasonable walking system we would only book bed and breakfast next time.

We would certainly book with this hotel again but make sure we were accommodated in the new complex as the room were better appointed.

A nice friendly hotel just the right size and definitely suitable for all age groups.

Top Tip: There is a new barbers shop right next to the hotel which offers discounts if you are staying at the hotel, well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed our stay, the hotel staff were always friendly and polite, and able to communicate well with visitors of all ages and nationalities. The hotel was very clean and tidy, much better than I expected for a 3 star. I've stayed in worse 4 star hotels.

The food was decent, and varied, with a good snack menu for in between main meals. We booked B&B, but stayed for an evening meal in the hotel a few times. There was a different three course menu each day, sometimes themed (Turkish night, Steak night, etc) that was usually around 25 or 30 lira.

The pool is nice and clean, I went in it regularly. The staff patrol it regularly, collecting any empty glasses, emptying ash trays, etc. At night they arrange a seating area next to the pool, which has it's night lights switched on from underneath.

Maids came to the bedrooms daily, and although we had one of the most basic rooms in the hotel it was in very good order. We had a balcony, a decent shower and a TV; which was all we needed from it.

The hotel was in the perfect location for us, a short walk away from the main drag and the beach, so that it wasn't noisy at night and only took 5 minutes to get to in the morning. There's so many great places to eat and drink, buy excursions, Turkish bath, etc, within walking distance that you never have to get a bus or taxi to go out.

The atmosphere in the hotel among the guests was very relaxed, and we made several friends at the pool bar over the days. I would definitely recommend the Blue Lagoon Hotel to anyone.

Top Tip: There are loads of different companies selling excursions, and we spoke to several of them. After considering all factors we went with Pioneer Travel, the staff weren't pushy and in your face, they came well recommended and they had the best prices. We weren't disappointed, they're an excellent outfit. We had to cancel, and rearrange some trips which they did no problem and offered us discount and free extras (Turkish bath) because we booked a few things in bulk. Really nice guys, always polite and happy.

Everywhere we ate was good, especially Sultan Ahmet's, the Antique Bar and Josephs and Buzz Beach Bar and the Seahorse. The Tequilla bar is great for cocktails, as was the hotel bar. If you go to Antique Bar, make sure you get the waiter to show you some magic tricks! All the waiters in there were great entertainment, with their funny dance routines in between serving. People would go there and have a drink, just to watch, even if they weren't eating.

If you want to see the Blue Lagoon but don't want to pay to go on the main beach, take the road to the right of the ticket office that looks like it goes to nowhere; after 5 minutes walk you end up at "Sugar Beach" which is on the other side of the Lagoon, free, and usually less busy/more chilled. There's at least one more beach further round too, but we didn't go there.

very basic rooms , when we arrived we found the room absolutley infested with ants ! it wasnt clean or ready for us , the porter had to chuck the cleaner out . they knew they had a problem with the ants , as they told us they thought they had solved the problem the day before, yet still tried to give it to us... after refusing to stay in the room we wer eventualy moved to a family room . and we stayed there . the breakfast was very adiquit and fresh. no entertainment at night ? but on the plus side the staff are very friendly and helpfull. very niosey at night , both in this hotel and the neighbouring ones. close to the strip and beach.

Top Tip: best food found in "daphnes" down buy the beach. "josephes" is a very friendly place both to eat and drink.

Hotel great location a short stroll down the main street to the beach. Everyone at the hotel friendly. Breakfast excellent with enough choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, bread/ toast and cheeses/meats as well as a cooked egg option or pancakes each day. Pool area clean and well maintained. Marked down as room standards vary- even those adjacent to each other- in size and decor. Didn't see deluxe room but rooms clean and as a base adequate. I was in a downstairs double room which if in high season would have been annoying as dark and not light. As it went dark earlier and was cold didn't need a balcony but would not have liked looking out at a wall in the summer ! Make sure you request large room on higher floor for light and views.
All in all this hotel is great value for money and all you need as a resting place for your head after visiting the great beaches and all the resort has to offer.

Top Tip: Toscana restaurant on the main road that leads to the beach.
Boat trips fantastic value- don't forget you can go from Fetihye too and companies will pick you up and drop you off.
On main shopping street next to Azda (down escalator) sanctuary spa and Turkish bath. Had the 'woman's package' which lasted over two hours and was the best £35 I have spent in a long time !
The beaches around the lagoon- Seahorse, Billys beach etc great for sandy gentle coves and nothing too much trouble for the staff there. Ask at your hotel as they provide free return transport to your hotel although it was a lovely walk.
