The comfortable hotel rooms are situated in a new block and offer en-suite shower & WC and all have a balcony, with the exception of the three ground floor rooms which have a terrace. Air-conditioning and safe boxes are available (payable locally).
Location
Set in the hills of Ovacik on the edge of the village of Hisaronu and almost mid-way on the main route between the port of Fethiye and Oludeniz. Hisaronu offers a variety of restuarants, bars and discos, many shops and a busy weekly market.

“ The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming and the bar/reception is open 24 hours if you need anything. Breakfast is served by the pool with a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. rooms are quite basic, but clean which is the most important thing. The hotel is set back from the main road, where you can catch a dolmus to the beach and more lively resorts (about 15 mins away). The location is therefore quiet but idyllic, surrounded by farms and mountains but not far from the action of more lively towns if you fancy it.

“ This family run hotel deserves all the accolades it has already received and deserves more. The owner and the rest of his family are terrific and will do anything to help. For the cost of our stay we got all and more than we expected. For people that expect 5 star hotels then go and pay the money and stay at one!!!! Don't moan and complain about the Gorkem Hotel as it is'nt and doesn't claim to be a "top-end" hotel - although in my opinion the friendly family deserve 10 stars.

Bed & breakfast accomodation is very basic, with minimal storage area for clothes. Could do with some updating and would benefit from small fridge. Apartments are larger and generally better fitted. More attention from owners with regard to the equipment provided. Basic cutlery items missing. Some facilities not working properly. Showers in upper apartments have inadequate pressure leading to a dribble of water at times.
Owners are generally helpful and friendly.
Overall the hotel is located in a quiet road a short walk from the main road into Hisaranu. Transport into the nearby resorts is regular and inexpensive.
Food in the hotel restaurant was very good.

Jimmy's Place, Ovacik - serves good local food.
Shine, Hisaranu- serves very good Indian Food
Try the fish market at Fethiye -choose your own fish and get it cooked at one of the small restaurants surrounding the market.

This hotel has the same clientel every year,and as a new comer to this hotel did at time find this intimadating.
It is in a ideal spot to go out and explore and their are lots of nice restaurants close by.
Rooms very basic and I had to ask for clean towels after being at the hotel for 5 days.Rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis as stated but the little bins in the wetroom (bathroom) are empted daily.
The gardens are very nice and so is the pool.
“ Top Tip: Just go up the road and turn right and their are loads of really nice places to eat at too many too mention.
