Ozcem Apartments

“ The apartments are quiet and out the way of the hustle and bustle of busy streets but still only 5 minutes from where the action is. The apartment rooms themselves and clean and spatious with adequent facilities for cooking and storing food (if one desires to). The management are quite reserved but friendly and happy to help if you need anything. Young people out for a loud and drunken holiday may find it too quite as the bar isn't often staffed and the music is off more than on. But the pool is a great size and there is plenty of room to lie back and relax. Just off the grounds of the accomodation is a road where you can catch the local buses into the nearest and larger (more lively) town Fethiye. The beach is 5-10 minutes from the accomodation and hosts plenty of lovely restaurants to choose from.

“ Top Tip: If you find the bus trip into Fethiye too crowded or too hot then I suggest you take the water taxi which runs every half an hour and costs 5 lira per person.

“ We stayed here from the 29th August to 7th September 2011. We love every minute of our holiday in Turkey and would highly recommend it to anyone. I am a International hotel manager by trade so I know the dynamics behind the accommodation sector, so I hope my opinion in useful. we did not know what to expect due to some bad feedback seen about the accommodation before we traveled but we booked it anyway as one persons opinion can differ from the next. We were very happy with it all, the accommodating was clean and tidy and had everything that we need for our holiday. The kitchen had a fridge and a oven, we found that it was cheaper to eat out than shop, the food in the restaurants is excellent and never felt hungry when I left. The overall standard in hospitality in the restaurants was outstanding and wish it was like that every around the world. The staff at the apartments were very friendly and helpful even though their English was not the best but your in Turkey not england what would you expect. Overall I would not hesitate in booking a holiday and staying at Ozcem apartments again. With everything so close its in a perfect location.

“ Top Tip: Turkey is a fantastic holiday designation due to the Turkish people being very very very friendly. We suggest not hiring a car due to the driving being a little dangerous, we used the dolmus taxis being very easy to find anywhere in the area an being so cheap. We paid 1.50 TL to fethiye from Calis so around 65p( it was our old price 15 years ago ;-) The market in Fethiye is a must on Tuesdays 8am-7pm. The market can also be found in Calis on Sundays just by the apartments. We also did many tours and found them to be stunning value for money £8 - £20 for the day. The only bad things I would have to say is that there are a few extras along the way I.E. The lunch is included but the drinks are not and they are very over priced up to £ £2 for a can of drink, tip of the day freeze a bottle of drink so it stays cold all day and take it with you. The restaurants are very well priced too and good value for money with a high standard of food. I hope the review has helped someone unsure of where to go and who to book with when you take your next holiday. Thanks for reading and happy holidays. “ I was dreading going to Ozcem apartments as I had read all the previous reviews. I have to say, you get what you pay for and we paid for 5 people in a two bed apartment in summer school holidays. At the price, it was excellent value for money. Pool really clean and spacious. Apartments need a refurb and there are signs of this (a power shower installed but not connected) and there are a few things the owners could do to make things a little more comfortable such as decent and new pillows and a dust pan and brush plus additional crockery and cutlery. That said, we had a washing machine and a full cooker/oven so on the whole excellent value for money. staff all ok and were helpful if you asked for anything. Balconies small on the first floor so ground floor would be better.

“ Top Tip: Dolmus close by for beach - go to Guven's bar on beach at far right end of beach (next to dolmus bus terminus in Calis beach). Free sunbeds (only need to buy a few drinks) and access to loos, pool table, lunch if you want it and a great garden area with hammocks etc.

Staff at Oceana bar in Calis beach wonderful and friendly. Nil Bar restaurant very good but so are almost all restaurants there and definitely the best sunset in Turkey at Calis! River boat to Fethiye worth a go too.

Fethiye Airport Transfers were excellent and half the price of their competitors. I would wholly recommend them. All cars were Mercedes and both drivers spoke good English, were on time and gave us each a bottle of water - a nice touch after getting off a plane!

“ We had a great 2 week stay here. After reading the reviews we were apprehensive but when we arrived we were pleased with the apartment. For what we paid it was a bargain. It was clean when we arrived and cleaned 3 times while we were there. We also had clean towels. The pool area was lovely. There seemed to be enough equipment in the kitchen although we only made sandwiches there as we ate out every night. Sybil who worked behind the bar and the maid were very friendly given that they didn't speak much English and we don't speak much Turkish. As for the owners, we only saw the husband a couple of times and the wife we saw daily. She didn't go out of her to welcome you but she did explain everything the first day and a couple of times afterwards she did ask if everything was ok. (I would suggest you pay for the aircon when you leave as we paid for it when we arrived and she did ask for the money again when we were checking out. Fortunately Sybil was there when we paid it otherwise it could have turned out a bit awkward). The people in the bars and shops were lovely, not too pushy and always remembered you. We would definitely go back to Calis and quite possibly to these apartments.

“ Top Tip: We had good meals where ever we ate but we would recommend eating at Er Oz, The Meeting Point and The Oriental Express.
Get the dolmus to Fethiye and then ont to Olu Deniz, the beach is lovely.
