Majestic Hotel

“ we both thought the hotel was ok, it was clean(most of the time) we had very mucky feet, we had to ask for toilet roll once and clean towels twice - at one point we had to use one hand towel between the two of us and we where there only aweek. also no iron/ironing board in the room. Jimmy and the rest of the staff were very nice and polite, thought the woman on the reception desk during the day was a waste of space really as she could not understand us so how could she help anyone woking at that position?? we felt awkward sometimes as we wanted to spend sometime in the hotel but it was dead on the evenings - no entertainment at all.

“ The rooms are large but basic. The gardens are small but very well kept, the pool was a good size with a small separate shallow pool for the children or just to sit is and chill out with a good book. The staff are freindly and attentative nothing is too much trouble and not because they expect a tip infact we never tipped util the day we left and they seemed shocked and said there was no need as they had enjoyed our company. The Majestic Hotel is about 4 minutes walk from the main beach and seconds away from lovely bars and eaty places. Breakfast was simple toast (freshly baked bread) jams, spreads, eggs and cheeses, tomatoes etc. We feel we went at the best time with the season just about to start everyone was attentative and had time to chat and relax but am not sure I want to be in Turkey when it's the height of the season because we have been spoilt with very few other people around everyone made us feel like a long lost friend.

“ Top Tip: Have a drink or two with Mehmet and Jimmy in the bar at the Majestic they are two very lovely guys. Pop to the cocktail bar and say hi to Bobby (take a left out of the hotel and he will be found on the next corner) Bobby has a lovely traditional menu but has an English menu for the less adventerous. Paragliding is a must the guys down at 'Gravity' are excellent.

“ Basic rooms but good value for money. You get what you pay for! Pool area clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, 10 mins from beach and bars and bus outside. Rooms cleaned and towels changed regularly. Really enjoyed our stay.

“ Top Tip: Visit the blue lagoon...20 mins walk from hotel and it's absolutely beautiful.
Magic tulip bar...friendly staff and nice food.

“ We found the hotel ideally situated, just a very short stroll to the beach and so handy for the shops in the main street. However it must be stated when we went, Easter week, most shops were just getting ready for the holday period.
The people in the hotel were excellent so were the guests, food was more geared to English tastes but the Head waiter, Jimmy, did try to please with some Turkish food.
Bar staff, could not be better, Mamet and Jouseff, caring and helpful in every way.
Room service was a joy, with our towels set out as birds most mornings, but I think that as the hotel gets busier they won´t have the time to do this.

Now the big question! Would we go again? and the answer is YES, most defintely.

“ Top Tip: The fish market where you buy your fish from the fish monger and the restaurants surrounding the market cook it for you and charge six liera for doing this and provide a salad and bread. You couldn´t get fresher fish anywhere!
Just over the hill from the Majestic a wonderful restaurant where they serve the most delicious roast lamb on a spit.

Of course the blue lagoon, well woth a visit.
