Atinc Hotel

“ I stayed at this hotel from the 18/4/12 to the 24/4/12.It is a pleasant,well-situated and comfortable establishment,close to the beach,town centre and
numerous cafes,bars and restaurants.It is about 15 minutes walk from the main bus station,although there are local bus stops close by and there is a taxi rank next to the Atinc.

The hotel staff speak good English,the rooms are all well-equipped.

In my opinion (I was on half-board) the breakfasts are O.K. but the evening meals leave a lot to be desired,especially the main courses.

Unlike other Turkish hotels in which I have stayed,the reception is very strict about guests bringing food and drink from outside into their rooms - this even
includes bottled water.Don't be surprised if the receptionist asks what is in your carrier bag.

“ Top Tip: Visit the Roman site of Efes (Ephesus) and the Virgin Mary House,but don't pay
taxi prices to go there.For Efes there is a direct service from the bus station
(5 Turkish lira one-way) and for the Virgin Mary House,take a minibus from the bus station to Selcuk(5 Turkish lira,one-way) and then a taxi (Selcuk-Virgin Mary House return-62.50 lira,roughly £24)

“ Top Tip: shopping area

“ Just spent a winter week in the Atinc,we were welcomed as usual by helpful staff,we requested a front sea view room on arrival and we got one .The weather was very wet (it was January )but we were warm and cosy.The breakfast is varied always a choice of turkish breakfast ie olives ,cucumber ,feta cheese tomatoes hard boiled eggs and delicious turkish bread ,there was also a selection of hot food ,not to our taste hot veg dishes and scrambled eggs with german sausage !!The Rigolo at the front of hotel has a very varied menu for evening meals .The hotel does a buffet lunch and evening meal ,very good price 12 lira for lunch and 15 for dinner ,a good meal at a bargain price .
