Munamar Beach Residence

“ Really enjoyed my week at this hotel. It's really modern and the staff are lovely. Food was nice. Will hope to go back again some time. Don't know why people moan about it.

“ We had a very noisy room for the first two nights, the hotel moved us to a quieter room for the remainder of the Holiday.
During the 6 days of torrential rain, the hotel made no effort at entertaining the guests. There was very little evening entertainment.
The food that was supposed to be hot, was cold on most occasions. Only after major complaints from guests we had one evening of hot food, then back to the normal cold food. We had to eat out to get a decent meal. We done this 7 times during the holiday. They cater for all but the English.
During the bad weather the hotel was very cold. (we paid a visit to the Aqua hotel and it was lovely and warm).
The rooms and staff were very good.

“ I stayed in the Munamar Residence Hotel which is just a little behind the main hotel but shares facilities. It is clean and comfortable. My room (211) had excellent views of both the town and the beach from a small but useful balcony.
The shower was an excellent walk-in type with plenty of hot water but the blocked drain meant that the base filled with water and it never was cleaned despite my request.
Food was plentiful and well prepared with no feeling of being hurried at meal times. The mini bar in the room was a joke and made the hotel seem small and petty - one small bottle each of pepsi, orange, still and sparkling water was not replaced all week and yet you can get as much of these and other drinks from the bars all day all inclusive!
All in all, the friendly staff, the rooms, the food and drink, wifi available free in my room and free effective air conditioning meant that the stay was well worth the money paid but something was missing for it to be thought of as 5 stars.
The only negative - VERY loud music from nearby pubs until midnight and surprisingly annoying music played in the reception area that could be heard in the rooms because of the open plan atrium style architecture.
But I'd book there again without any problem!!!! (October 2011)

“ Top Tip: Pubs and restaurants abound - almost any of them are worth a visit. The Love Boat restaurant is probably the best in the town - the choice of food is better and my steak was the best I've had anywhere in the world!!!
