Selen 1 Hotel

“ This hotel is a typical 3 star basic Turkish. It is possible to find something for breakfast from the cereal, yoghurt, fruit, bread or eggs. I found the menu for the lunch and evening meal to be not too extensive and chose to eat out.

The rooms were clean but basic but the showers were dangerous. Selecting a warm temperature which suddenly switched to boiling and to find the shower hand set faulty with boiling water coming out like a fountain.

The location was good as you were a 10 minute walk from the centre of Marmaris or a dolmus away from Icmeler.

“ Top Tip: As I chose to eat out I found the Angel Restaurant on the opposite side of the road to be both excellent value for both the meal quality, price, service and would recommend a visit!

“ I was worried about going to this hotel after reading some reviews,I shouldnt have been, this hotel was first class for what i was looking for .The staff were excellent and made you feel very welcome and couldnt do enough for you . I also hope to book up this hotel later in the year hopefully September Iwould recommend this hotel to anyone going to Marmaris .

“ After being charged an extra 200 lira (should have been 300-400 turkish lira) because my boyfriend was turkish, a full day with no water from the hot water tap, they moved us to another hotel which was better but with no return of the money paid. We were told they had to get the hot water fixed, but on walking passed the next day they had actually closed up instead (we stayed in November).

I have stayed here before (3 years ago) and was a good hotel. Good sized rooms, cleaned daily etc. Due to the problems we had I would not stay here again but if you are UK Passport holder then its a good hotel.

“ Top Tip: In the season, its close to everything and about 15 mins walk to bar street and the marina. Its especially good for the younger crowd as it is right at the start of long beach and all the bars and restaurants it has to offer. Great location but you cant hear the noise of the bars at night.
