Alinn Boutique Hotel

“ Please remember our visit was in may, so the season had not got into full swing.
Staying in this hotel was a pleasant experience, and if your looking for a quite time in nice surroundings with zero entertainment then this hotel is for you.
Our room was a corner situated room with a wonderful sea view,and was well maintained by the maid.
The food was pretty good, and the all inclusive drinks with exception to the beer was acceptable. i can only describe the beer as tasting like beer flavoured alka seltzer.
The staff in general appeared happy, and generally gave good service.
Younger couples may enjoy this hotel if visited from June onwards as there is the M&S club within a short walk.
The village of Sarigeme is about an 800 m walk, but this can be shortened if you catch the free hourly beach shuttle.
We used Panda tours for our 12 island trip and for £17 each with food, its a great deal.
All in all, we could have done with some entertainment but left feeling relaxed.

“ Second visit following initial visit in 2009. Formerly 5* All Inclusive but fading glory so currently nearer 3/4*. Examples include - plastic cups of water have replaced small chilled bottles, no hot food at the beach, A1 ceases at 11pm (pay after that), beach towels are threadbare, no animation team, indoor pool area in poor condition. It's the missing little things that made it 5* A1. Managers have difficulty retaining staff in an 'out-of-the-way' location which causes inconsistent service. Some rooms looking tired and maintenance is spasmodic. Food ok but many complain. Beach is quiet and water is splendid but activities on hand if you like sailing, water skiing etc.. Staff work very hard long hours to keep up with duties and do their best to make you welcome. Room cleaning is excellent, though rooms and balcony are small. Plenty of hot water. Two good pools, one quiet, the other has 'beat' music. Spectacular views from some rooms and panorama bar. Come on Alinn.... with a bit more planning and attention to detail you can recover!

“ Top Tip: Just one good shop in local village of Sarigerme run by Baris which sells hand made pottery and clothes. Local bus journey to Otaca is an experience if you like sharing your seat with some chickens, a bunch of school girls who stare, some crusty old men and women who never pause for breath between sentences. Market sells everything from clothes pegs and dustbins to T shirts - warning if spelling is Addiddass it may be fake!. But it's more fun than an air conditioned coach and cramped bus is so cheap it's almost free.

“ The hotel's 5 star rating can be justified with respect to location and appearance but falls short in other areas. The standard rooms are on the small side and are sparsely furnished with inadequate storage space. Two chairs are enough to fill the balcony leaving no space for drinks table. The telephone system is archaic and the television had no English channels. My room safe did not work at the start of my stay and was still out of action when I left despite my requests to have it fixed .My early season visit meant many of the hotel's amenities were not available. The food was acceptable rather than appetizing .The hotel staff in the dining room and around the pool area were always helpful. Given the price I paid for my holiday I got value for money but 5 star luxury not a chance!

“ Top Tip: Get fit before your holiday so you can tackle the very steep driveway up to the hotel or use the hotel transport.
