“ They seem to have the expectation that our 7 year old would not need their own bed, when this was clearly our expectation when we booked the hotel. They insisted that we make an extra payment for them to provide us with a bed for our child. It was clear that the mistake was not ours, but they refused to be flexible, which was surprising and disappointing for a 5 star hotel! Apart from that "little" blip, most of the staff were very pleasant and made our 4 nights stay enjoyable and relaxing. The shuttle bus services to Jumeirah Beach park and the Dubai Mall made getting to the main places of interest very easy. We found it very good value...did I mention the roof top swimming pool.
“ Top Tip: The Burjuman Centre is across the road from the hotel and it is a much quieter shopping mall with just as many shops.

“ Lovely new hotel, large room with desk, lounge chairs, beautiful large bathroom. We asked for high floor got 7th - not much of a view, fab view from bar on 17th floor and the pool top area. Great little bar near reception offered Happy Hour drinks for 20 dirhams (6pm - 8pm), ladies night on Tue - free drinks for ladies (great idea). Lovely buffet breakfast - something for everyone and as we had a 5.30 am collection when booking out they had arranged a continental breakfast for us to take to the airport. Free wifi in reception area but if used in room you will be billed. We liked the area, about a 25 min walk to the creek (or you could walk 5 mins to the station and get a metro - very cheap travel), Plenty of restaurants for all tastes nearby.
“ Top Tip: Use the metro to travel longer journeys then get a taxi from the station to where you want to go. Afternoon tea at Burj Al Arab 7* hotel is a must (£75 each) expensive but once in a lifetime treat - you do get a lot to eat and we thought well worth it. 6pm the water fountain show outside the Dubai mall was lovely. Use the monorail to/from the Atlantis Hotel on the Palm (15 Dirhams each) - fantastic photograph opportunities. Don't forget to press the "make up my room" button when leaving your room at the Park Regis Hotel otherwise your room will remain unmade!!
