The beaches of Banff Portsoy and Cullen are some 15 miles away with the cottage surrounded by the rolling hills of the Deveron Valley. There is a Post Office and a small shop in the village which is a 10 min stroll from the cottage. The Post Office is open until midday and the shop is open to 7.30pm daily.
