The hotel is very traditional, set back from the street you enter a courtyard revealing the hotel entrance.
We had booked 2 rooms and were promptly checked in just after 3pm. The rooms were adjacent.
The rooms were well equipped with tea & coffee, lcd tv, iron and ironing board. The bathroom was modern and very clean, if a little small but ample for 1 person at a time.
The bed was very comfortable and I had a great night sleep.
We had breakfast included, with was a buffet with cereal, fruit and hot food including scrambled eggs, good quality bacon, hash browns, mushrooms etc. Ample toast, tea and coffee.
If you're planning on shopping the hotel is immediately next the the Oracle centre and main shopping high street in Reading. There is no parking, but several car parks nearby (which we didn't use).
Would recommend this hotel and plan to stay again.
“ Top Tip: The Hobgoblin real ale pub is just opposite the hotel. If you like real ales and quirky pubs it's worth popping in.
