“ Have stayed here before several times. Staff extremely friendly, great location for sightseeing, shopping, and the night life as right in heart of Cardiff. Wonderful breakfast menu. The only downfall, is that there is no lift, but a small detail, as you can ask to be accommodated on a lower floor, plus there is assistance with luggage, if required.
“ Top Tip: Lots to do, never stuck for choice, whatever it is.

Very friendly on arrival and check in. Room was clean and had all facilities required. Internet access very useful and was the reason I chose this hotel.
Breakfast excellent and staff very attentive - first class!
Room a little disappointing and could be improved with better lighting.
Television very high on wall so ended up with neck ache watching tv.
Slightly bothered by constant outside noise - generator?

“ Its like stepping back in time - the decor and feel is old world but with all the modern extras - such as a shower /bath and fluffy white towels. You have freeview tv but quite honestly in the centre of Cardiff where everything is happening you are not there to visit the tv. Beds are comfortable. The only possible downside is the stairs - there are lots of them and no lift - so not suitable for disabled or those who struggle with steps. However it adds to the old world ambience. The best part is the staff. It would be hard to find more friendly and helpful people anywhere. They give you a map of Cardiff city and Cardiff Bay upon arrival and know all the good spots - plus there is a wide selection of tourist brochures available in the foyer. I think the hotel is well situated to access anything and good value for money.
“ Top Tip: Cardiff Castle is very close by and the National Museum isn't far either - both are well worth a visit. But there are other delights such as the Cardiff market which has a wonderful selection of shopping for half the price. If you are into clubs, pubs and restuarants there are loads available. St Davids shopping mall is also close by and the Millenium centre is too. The Bay is only a short bus ride or 25 minute walk. This hotel is in the hub of things.

Hotel is in need of refurbishment and there is no lift access to any of the floors, including the reception. So unless you are fit and well and can manage flights of stairs would not recommend.
However, on the positive side, the staff are helpful and friendly, the breakfast was good, bedlinen and towels were clean and in good order and the bed was comfortable.
Hotel is situated approximately 10 minute walk from the railway station and right in the heart of everything else.
All in all my husband and I enjoyed our stay.
“ Top Tip: CafeJazz is next door to but part of the hotel and residents get 20% off food and drink. TThere is live music Monday to Friday and the food is okay. Would definitely recommend.

“ The novotel in Cardiff was perfect for us! The location was great, and the hotel so clean and modern. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfy. We managed to get a rate including breakfast which was worth it as there is a lot of choice. I would definitley stay here again!
