Jamaica Inn hotel Cornwall's legendary coaching house immortalised in Daphne du Maurier's novel of the same name has stood high on Bodmin Moor for over four centuries. We're still referred to by historians as Cornwall's most famous smuggling inn. These days we do welcome the more salubrious guest ... and the odd ghost! The Jamaica Inn was made famous by the book and film of the same name by Daphne Du Maurier and the Inn also includes a museum and gift shop as well as a restaurant and bar. The Jamaica Inn has 16 well appointed bedrooms all en - suite we also have a number of romantic four poster bedrooms and who knows you may be visited by one of our resident ghosts. From breakfast until late evening you can enjoy an extensive range of home cooked food and we are a family friendly hotel and inn.Sorry no dogs allowed in the bedrooms

“ A friendly welcome, they had our details and were expecting us. All the things you need for a stay, very clean room and olde-worldy in keeping with the character and age of the venue.
“ Top Tip: Food and pub available at the site so no need for us to go exploring. There was a discount for guests to enter the Jamaica Inn next door.

“ Jamaica Inn is a unique, beautiful, and atmospheric place, steeped in legend and tales of smugglers past. Its setting on Bodmin moor lends itself to walking holidays, sightseeing or cosy stays in winter by the glorious pub fire. Rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and helpful. Would I stay again? Oh yes! Again and again, again and again........!

“ Top Tip: Good place to explore Cornwall from. Trago Mills was only around 10 miles away a good day out for shopping.

Loved it. Room was very clean and comfortable. Only one very small problem. I love lamb and chops especially. Wish they had been on the menu.
Staff very friendly and helpful.
“ Top Tip: Thought it was a good place as a base. After a really excellent breakfast travelled to the beaches and on to Lands End and back to enjoy the evening meal and a rest in the room to watch TV and a good nights sleep.
